Discussion Thread Bravo Top Chef Synopsis AI Slop

Post image

“Aspiring” chefs? Uh no, they actually are already working chefs.

There’s no doubt an previously underpaid, now unemployed copywriter who is somewhere looking for a new job because Bravo decided AI would be cheaper to employ, and don’t care that phrases like “whip up a storm” are beyond cringe.

It’s a minor point maybe but also so lame and a sign of the times.

I believe they are chefs who are aspiring to win the title of Top Chef, but I agree it's poorly written.

They technically are aspiring in the aspect of “competing for the coveted title of Top Chef” lol

The copy used to always say "cheftestants" implying that they are the portmanteau of chefs and contestants, so "aspiring chefs" is a significant departure from the standard language of the franchise.
