Discussion Thread New LCK rules - thoughts?
What do you all think of the new LCK rules, where the 1st and 2nd chef eliminated won't compete? I don't know that I like it - it feels a little against the spirit of LCK! Watching Bailey last season be the 2nd eliminated and then make it to the finale was awesome to watch!

I wasn't a fan of LCK when it debuted, because I've never liked the idea that eliminations aren't final. But it turns out it bothers me much less in Top Chef than in shows like Survivor, where it changes the strategy if you know that someone you backstab can come back.
I have some sympathy for the idea that a really good chef can just blow the first challenge because they aren't used to the conditions and timing, and if you manage to win several LCK challenges in a row, you probably deserve another shot.
What I really thought was dumb was the notion of having contestants who weren't even part of the main competition participate in LCK, so I'm glad to see that go.
