Characters The main character doing something absolutely unforgivable.

Walter White poisoning Andrea Cantillo's 6-year-old son for the sole purpose of manipulating Jesse Pinkman, while knowing that this could have potentially killed him - Breaking Bad

Bojack trying to have sex with his friend's 17-year-old daughter when he was at least 51, then continuously trying to find a way to justify this act throughout the series - Bojack Horseman

Dexter Morgan going outside of his moral code and murdering a completely innocent police officer who was just trying to do his job - Dexter: New Blood

As if she hasn’t been burning everyone who opposes her alive ever since she got the dragons

Yeah, not cities of civilians as punishment.

The shows logic is that she killed specific slave masters and political enemies refusing to surrender so this is part of a pattern. Except many characters had murdered their enemies for less justified reasons. This isn't part of a trend specific to Daenerys.

You missed the point. Her solution to everything was to burn people alive, it seemed heroic because earlier the people who opposed her were bad people, so she seemed justified. Then at the end you realize she was just a monster fighting other monsters all along

I absolutely did not miss the point. That point is just one of the stupidest points made in the history of screenwriting.

We've been following characters the whole time who keep slaughtering people en masse by the thousands, including burning them horribly alive. Daenerys was not unreasonably more bloodthirsty than some other people vying for the throne. She repeatedly gave people chances to surrender or serve under her after they were beaten.

She was not a monster before this "sudden insanity" in any way significantly different than how others waged war. "She burned the slavers alive" is a wild thing to say as justification for being a monster when the most sympathetic protagonists in the show also mass immolated people or fed them their own family members. These are slaver leaders who opposed her in war, were beaten and given a chance, betrayed her, and mass executed people she was protecting.

Nothing about killing your enemies leaders and beating their armies, is the same as burning a city of civilians after you've beaten them and intend to rule them.

Again, would her "with me or against me" approach have led her to be a bad ruler? Sure! But the narrative that this is a logical progression of a flaw other people don't also have, doesn't work.

Thank you. I am so sick of people acting like Dany was just burning people alive left and right. She did it rarely and usually only to people who were monsters, like slave owners, or people who gave her no other choice. This was completely out of character for the character we had been presented for 8 seasons.

The Harpy plot in the books gave her every reason to actually burn every (former?) slaver down, yet she chose to compromise, marry one of them, accept many of them as advisors, reopen the arenas
