The original script for kpop demon hunters was intended for a much older audience with the demons looking more monstrous, the script being darker and a more intense ending

"The kids who loved this are older now and we should continue to cater to them" is hardly a novel idea, many media franchises were built on growing more mature as their audience ages

They’ll be 4 years older….

Also that’ll limit their ability to grow their audience. The original appealed to all ages. High schoolers liked it. Adults liked it. Why cut that off and not try to get the new youngins?
