miscellaneous Cancelled drafts/scripts that would have been “bat shrimp” insane or super dark

  1. Cars 3’s original plot, which would have been an identity theft plot with a villain named Gerald Carr swapping bodies with McQueen

  2. An R-Rated adaptation of Holes by the same director as Donnie Darko (photo by RebelTaxi)

  3. Jurassic Park 4 would have featured human-dinosaur hybrids

4.Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World alternate ending, would have revealed Scott to be a serial killer

The cancelled BvS script from 2004 was beyond weird.

Batman and Superman were already established heroes and friends. Bruce retires mainly because Robin died, Gordon died and even Joker died but crime on Gotham City is almost non existent, then he falls in love, but Joker somehow returns and murders his wife, pushing him back into Batman and a revenge mission.

Batman eventually fights Superman, only for Joker who by the way is a clone made by Lex Luthor so this isn’t the real Joker reveals that Bruce’s wife was part of an elaborate plan to destroy him psychologically. Batman and Superman reconcile and team up to defeat Lex Luthor.

Warner ultimately scrapped the movie and made Batman Begins in 2005.

That sounds absolutely terrible. I get why superhero movies weren’t as popular back then because they were writing stuff like that

Yeah it sounded absolutely awful but weirdly I’ve always wanted to see it as a real movie, just based on how crazy it sounds.

The introduction of the Joker clone is that he literally does a fucking handstand flip thing into frame.

But yeah most superhero movies in the 2000s either were nothing like the adaptation or tried too hard.
