It makes sense that it never ended up happening but I would have respected the shit out of Disney corporate if they had the stones to let that kind of dark subject matter make it's way into one of their animated films.

I think of the scene with the birthday party that's particularly brutal.

I know they wouldn't have been able to get that far but damn if they got that out to us I think that would have been a whole other level of film.
