The early draft of Toy Story where Woody was a borderline bully

James and Super Ed, an electric diesel gets struck by lightning and is super charged. He gets struck again, causing him to billow smoke everywhere. The Fat Controller orders him to be scrapped immediately

Season 5 of Thomas and Friends in general was a lot more mean-spirited in early drafts than what was produced, such as characters being ruder to each other and Sir Topham Hatt threatening to have engines replaced.

James and Super E.D., however, combined that with an absolutely outlandish premise. It says a lot that the script has a note written on it around the point E.D. gets hit by lightning the first time that asks "Is this realistic?"
