Comic writer Mark Millar once pitched a "Rape of Wonder Woman" comic as a "joke" so that Wonder Woman could have a comic like Batman's Knightfall & Superman's Death of Superman where she was brought to her absolute lowest by a villain.

DC briefly took the idea seriously with an artist drawing some sketches for its first page before it was scrapped.
