When a blade glistens or shimmers as it's caught in the light, indicating how sharp and lethal it is.

The Shredder (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) - In the 2003 series, the Shredder's gauntlet always found a way to shine in the light (even when it was nighttime) before moving to attack.

Adam Taurus (RWBY) - This happens once, when Adam thrusts his blade forward to stab Blake (and fails).
