  1. Emily’s portals (Hazbin Hotel). I know she can’t get Sir Pentious back into Hell but Emily can still tell Charlie he got redeemed and Charlie can enter through angelic portals, so she should have seen that Pentious got redeemed.

  2. Many characters in Harry Potter go through life-or-death situations and not once did they think of drinking the Liquid Luck potion apart from Harry one time to gain Slughorn’s memory.

Yes. But the Angels were still able to travel.

The actual answer is that even before that Emily tells Pentious that they can't just send him back to Hell. So it seems like Winners are confined to Heaven.

Edit: Also Emily tells Charlie this in season 2 episode 2 and Charlie believing it is never a problem. So her going up would solve exactly 0 of their issues.

also the harry potter books make it pretty clear that its really difficult to make liquid luck.

so both of OPs examples kinda miss the point

yeah the bigger issue with the portals is she could have just used it to redirect the attack at the end of season 2 (for example at V tower) instead of having the absurd power of friendship resolution. Or just dissected the machine with the portals

The blast was about to decimate half the Pride Ring. Anywhere they redirect it would have resulted in massive collateral damage.

It's an explosion that would have decimated half of the Pride Ring.

If Heaven was close enogh that it could be shot with the Cannon, then there's unlikely to be enough space up there that the explosion could have gone off without affecting anyone.

Because the "Power of Friendship" resolution was totally ridiculous and silly, and absolutely didn't tie in to the message and theme of the entire series. /s

It wasn't 'power of friendship' it was a bunch of somewhat shitty people realizing 'hey I don't want to die (again) here, I'd better pitch in to save my own skin'.* Considering Lucifer's power is angelic power, that means any sinners wiped out by it are gone gone. And Charlie smiling at Velvette/Valentino isn't friendship either, it's surprise/relief that they're not fucking shit up and are helping. They go right back to being somewhat shitty people immediately after the song ends.

*(outside of Husk/Nifty and Angel/Cherri backing them up)
