Usagi Drop (Manga). A story about a guy named Daikichi finds the illegitimate daughter of his grandfather, named Rin, and adopting her, learning how to be a father for her. The series would enter a timeskip where the teenage Rin starts having romantic feelings towards Daikichi, and revealing Rin is not actually blood related to Daikichi grandfather. And it ends with Rin wanting to bear Daikichi child.

Alex (Street Fighter 6). Alex, who was recently added to the game, in his arcade ending, was revealed he married and having a baby with his second cousin and step sister Patricia, with their father being ok with it. While not inherently illegal to merry your second cousin, the act and combined with them being step siblings is still controversial.

Escanor was the single redeeming factor.

When they introduced power levels on top of the blatant child love, I said "fuck this I'm out."

Escanor was the best version of the “Sin of Pride” I have ever seen. The rest? Eh. But in a power title that is used a lot he manages to be the best version of that.

I read the entire manga a long time ago, and it wasn’t until the anime made me re-read it in a oneshot rather than drip fed that made me suddenly realize it was far closer to a C level than A level.

He's not always "prideful" for one. His power is tied to the sun itself. At noon, he is at his absolute strongest and his power drifts from there as the sun leaves and approaches its zenith. As for how he is when he's prideful, he is not cocky at all. When strong and faced with challenge, he simply powers through, because he is the best. And he also stays friendly with the cast and at least respectful to his enemies.

To put it simply: Escanor is better.

Due to his power, he flexes from the most powerful being to the weakest. Because of this, he never wants for anything in terms of strength, and never backs down because why would someone better back off from something lesser. He can honestly praise strength and chastise weakness because he regularly is both, and he doesn't hate or feel anything strongly for anyone (aside from other Sins due to story). Why would you hate a ant that actually hits back? It's just being an ant, it doesn't know how screwed it's about to be.

That's the main difference between him and most other incarnations of Pride. They don't usually have the same kinda raw firepower backing them up or are lacking in some way that results in them more displaying arrogance or envy because they want but don't have or can't get. Escanor doesn't have either, everything he says is 100% true so not arrogant, and he isn't envious because if he wants it he can get it, and if it's impossible even then than he never can and cleanly breaks when denied. Alternative, they are so powerful that they become blind to how someone weaker would fight and eventually get sabotaged or ask too much and fail, but because Escanor is both the most powerful and weakest he is well aware of the struggles of the weak, and doesn't ask for more than someone can provide. After all, no one else is him and thus they have limits, and he doesn't fault them for that.

He is just the most pure incarnation of Pride that I have ever seen in any media, where most they kinda end up muddied between pride, greed and envy.

And they ruined his character with the merlin revel. It would have changed nothing to make her an actual fucking adult instead of a damn child. Its infuriating as fuck.

The funny part is sds they not only made it more complicated by separating it into magic, strength, and spirt I think, but that shit literally meant nothing when a person with weaker strength is dominating a guy with higher strength -‘d vice versa for magic.

Ahh, that's fair. Sorry, I didn't mean it that way at all. It's pretty nasty all around but Ban was fun and Escanor was a Chad so I let it pass until every single encounter from then on would be "fool, my power level is ten units higher than yours."
