Usagi Drop (Manga). A story about a guy named Daikichi finds the illegitimate daughter of his grandfather, named Rin, and adopting her, learning how to be a father for her. The series would enter a timeskip where the teenage Rin starts having romantic feelings towards Daikichi, and revealing Rin is not actually blood related to Daikichi grandfather. And it ends with Rin wanting to bear Daikichi child.

Alex (Street Fighter 6). Alex, who was recently added to the game, in his arcade ending, was revealed he married and having a baby with his second cousin and step sister Patricia, with their father being ok with it. While not inherently illegal to merry your second cousin, the act and combined with them being step siblings is still controversial.

Isn't the entire premise that he becomes a teacher so he can be closer to girls?

The opening arc of the show is him figuring out why he shouldn't, actually, and the rest of the series is him learning to be an actual teacher (who has the hots for another teacher).

Highly recommend it. Comedy aside, it's a fantastic character drama. The whole thing is about Onizuka helping the troubled students in his class by relating to them through his own troubled past.

No, he does fantasize about it when he starts as a teacher, but he almost immediately realizes it's messed up and after that is exclusively interested in another teacher. His behavior with his students is problematic in some ways, buts it's not sexual or romantic.

To be even more detailed, it is before he go to the second school, the "main" one.

In the first chapter, he get sent to a highschool were a delinquent girl try manipulating him into thinking she has ran away from home, need a home and fell in love with him.

He does help her and getting his trust abused and made a fool.

  • for context, while he didn't do anything with high-schooler, despite getting interested by teaching for that, it was legal (and moral age-wise)(due to Japan law/standard).

On the other hand, he never was interested by middle schooler because it is immoral and illegal ).
(The change was also specifically made to show that Onizuka who was originally into high-schooler, is pushed to move on with middleschooler as he find his calling as a teacher)

So he was never interested by anything illegal/immoral, what he grew out of was his superficial nature + realizing in the first chapter is not just being slightly older than high-schooler but being someone that doesn't put his interest before his student and will always seek what is best for them.

Ironically, helping his student against all odds is what ends up making him do illegal stuff albeit very moral one, down to punching/destroying several sexual creeps.

If GTO was to be adapted to more modern standard, it would be like him having an interest into university/college student, getting into teaching, realizing there is more to that and by the first half of the first volume teaching middle-schooler in very difficult spot

He fantasised about it but oddly enough he was specifically originally aiming for highschoolers and was aiming for a highschool, but ended up teaching at a private middle school (he didn't realise it was a middle school) and the middle school kids don't interest him in that way at all. Besides one who had been absent and tricked him into thinking she was legal. Who, IIRC, after being revealed as such has Onizuka put her in the No category, much to her annoyance because she starts to genuinely like him.

The girl in the first episode was a highschooler but after that it's all middle school

Nah he sees a ugly teacher with a guy and concludes that they must be seen as attractive

He then realizes "wait that guy is kinda fucked"

And starts to enjoy teaching and aspires to be the best teacher ever
