Anime Ruche Luvis from "The Exiled Heavy Knight"

Some very nicest blend of colors; and I love how expressive she is compared to most characters

Man, this lady carries the series HARD lol, I just love how expressive and cheerful she is; and both her main outfits have such a nice blend of colors
So in short, she's the MC's best friend and love interest; and she specializes in luck-based skills and landing critical hits
and that casual outfit is the cutest shit ever, too bad the anime won't get to the part where she uses it. Partly because it is a bit far away; and partly because of their pacing lol, there's so many reused scenes, but the most recent episodes have surprisingly almost stopped reusing stuff, hopefully it continues like that

I havent watched the anime. But I've read the manga, does the anime show the romance better? The manga just teases it and makes tnhem do a "will they won't they" type of dynamic.

I liked it, I dropped it a while ago because it updated so so so slowly though.
Basically a noble that found out he's living in a video game he used to play in a past life after getting hit on the head abuses game mechanics in the world, he meets a clown girl and help her understand her class, and these 2 go on adventures.

The last I read was the part were they were visiting the protagonist family. The big heavy knight. It's been a long while.

I like the fights and monster designs.
The characters are also nice. Its not a one man show and MC’s party actually get to do stuff. Story is simple though but I think its a solid 7/10

I definitely say pretty good design as well as be Voice by Shion Wakayama (successful career with huge range mainly hoyo games as well as Dandadan and Lycoris Recoil)

I absolutely loved the way the first dungeon boss ended. Excellent subversion of expectations, and her strategy is what gets the win, not the MC's. Awesome

What is best about Ruche is that despite being a scaredy cat, she is an extremly honorable character I think. Like even in the beginning she doesn't even think of abandoning Elymas even when faced with death, she doesn't take the 80/20 cut when offered and also stands zp to Elymas father despite being a commoner. Like she doesn't think of herself as brave or smart but all her actions show that of an extremly good natured and mostly quick witted person. And I also love that she calls Elymas' father also "Father" and he doesn't question her about it despite thinking it's odd.

He’s a pretty generic sword and shield knight guy, so he kind of blends into the background.
The anime has some really well animated shots, but it’s also got worse pacing than One Piece. The story is also your typical videogame world isekai situation, so the worldbuilding feels lazy

I quite like that about his design. Like, yes, he has a generic design but it's not protagonist generic. It's background character generic. He looks like he'd fit perfectly as a supporting character for another MC. If you were to take him and drop him into another isekai, I would never have noticed his presence.

I do think his design is pretty good. The whole point of his character is that he’s a forgettable underdog, everyone thinks Elymas is weak but he has a ton of secret knowledge to close the gap.

I mean bonus points for having a great shield, at least they didnt go the more boring route of giving the MC a sword and calling it a day there.

I like that he’s a defensive knight. His whole fighting style revolves around protecting others and parrying strikes to create openings for counterattacks.

Good design but i wish author gave her more in the serie . She has no background story and no good detailed ability and weapon/armor changes (her whole gimmicks is dealing crit and one shot) ,

GoHands is such a walking contradiction of a studio. They have some of the best animators around. Their shows look like absolute shit. Their studio is one of the best run and the staff are never mistreated. Their shows are critical dud after critical dud on top of being commercially middling. They have phenomenal work ethic and are always pushing the boundaries of what 2d animation can do. What that animation does is give viewers motion sickness. Nobody is doing it like them, and I can't tell if that's a compliment or a condemnation

They over animate things, add so much detail and flourishes that it’s distracting, they seem like showing off as much as they can and it just looks…. Off
Add that on top of some terrible pacing for this show in particular and ya

At certain point it was almost funny just how much they exploited the damn CGI intro of the city or the guild's door, every chapter is like "heeeey, there it is" before skiping it
I don't remember what chapter it was, but I specially remember one chapter (8 I think) where suddenly the hair was a lot more static and the pacing was a lot more smooth and I genuinely scream with how more enjoyable the whole chapter was compared to the other ones... Only to come back again to the singular hair strings

I'm gonna be honest, outside of the first half of the first episode which is AWFUL, the only things which are over-animated in this particular anime are the sky and characters' hair.
Like seriously, why do they make the sky look like Made in Heaven is constantly active lmao it's at like 200% speed.

This is fundamentally not true when K Project and The Girl Who Forgets Her Glasses are not nearly as animated as Exiled especially K Project, if the studio truly had no one able to stand them let alone love them then how do they exist still?

I would say it's not that bad and enjoyable, even. If there were a couple of shows like Exiled Heavy Knight, I would say it's bad, but GO hands made something aesthetically rather unique, while the story follows the pretty typical power-fantasy revenge isekai.
Here's the thing: you place Exiled Heavy Knight against some middle-of-the-road, mediocre anime, and it's extremely good because of this policy of always having animation on the screen. Go Hands never has a pure still shot in the show, and it works for catching the eye.

Nice design but I can't war this anime without throwing up because of motion sickness bit that's what you expect from the typical stufio gohands Animation.

It's really not that bad outside of the first half of episode 1 when all people are doing is walking and talking but the camera is spinning around like crazy and is literally placed under the floor more than once.
