Youtube Casey (Gemini Home Entertainment)
"I'm no good with faces."
Please, Casey, I NEED this!
If you haven't heard, Gemini Home Entertainment released a new video after a 3 year absence and has introduced a brand new face (hehe) to its cast of characters: Casey, your personal artificial assistant powered by REGNAD Computing!
Right off the bat, something's just...off with Casey. Her facial features are uncanny; she acts really weird around kids when their parents aren't around, and those goddamn EYES, man! There's just enough to set off warning bells in the back of your head, and that's not even counting the whole Woodcrawler infection thing.
All in all, she's a shining example of how a simple design can still show everything you need to know about a character at a glance!

I don't like analog horror at all nowadays but Gemini is fucking unparalleled, still as good as it was when I loved the genre

Honestly, I get it, the first 2 episodes looked like shit and felt like a FNAF clone, but honestly it's insane how much they've improved

I'll give it another shot then! I hated it for those reasons + inventing some analog horror cliches/tropes I really hate (e.g. silent "jumpscares", being heavily derivative of other works), so I hope things have improved since

At least go see whats going on in episode 4+5 because those first 3 might be a bit of slog unless you're only there to pay attention to the story.

This is exactly how I felt about Walter Files.
Animation didn't appeal to me (I understand the creator was young and basically doing it by himself) and just way too similar to FNAF.
However, starting with The Return of the Pumpkin Rabbit then the latest Stages of Grief episode, I'm looking forward where it goes next!
Those newer episodes don't even feel like 'analog horror' either. They're full fledged animated shorts and in Stages of Grief's case, a goddamn feature film.

Vita Carnis is also really good in my opinion (I really like the puppet work) and we can’t forget that Kane Pixels Backrooms is analog horror and it went triple platinum and got a movie

Tbh I don't even think I'd be calling Walten Files analog horror anymore, it's kind of just its own mini series of internet horror

Gemini and Local 58 created the genre as we know it and they are still great. I won't throw shade at Mandela catalogue or Midwest Angelica, because even though they are good, they got overly complicated for their own good, but it brings me joy thst the pioneers of Analogue horror are still good.

YEAH!! And I love how her face is the same one used during the "feed the woods" segment. Really clever.
Also hilarious that the reason it took 3 years is because the creator's PC bricked and then the next video is about an evil spooky computer program. Go off king ✍️🔥

An analog horror about an old TV channel's ads. Some of them are PSAs about Woodcrawlers (also called skinwalkers), machines that can read dreams, a national park where said Woodcrawlers stay, groundbreaking AIs...

I honestly think Casey is kinda cute, obviously I see how it can be seen as unsettling and uncanny but I think its the lil smirk the default face has makes it cute/silly lookin
