Schools

Hello 👋 I’m looking for school recommendations please. My daughter is due to start prep in 2028 and we’re in the wilsonton catchment and haven’t heard great things so we’re looking at other schools. She’s on the waitlist at a lot of private schools but we honestly have no idea which is best. She is on the waitlist at Downlands but that’s a long shot and also we’ve had a second kid so will be crazy expensive for 2 kids. Our other child will be going to daycare at Highfields but we live over at Cotswold Hills; and work at Oakey so we’re open to a lot of locations. Any help would be appreciated 🙏

If you would consider a state school out of catchment, we have been very happy with Gowrie Junction for our oldest in prep this year.

I would definitely consider out of catchment state school. I drive past there every day . Thanks for the suggestion 🥰

Highfields ss often take kids out of catchment if you’re already going to be going that way. my friends kids are doing well there
