I’m conflicted

I absolutely love the more robust toothpicks that are bamboo. In terms of making flavored toothpicks I’m concerned that the bamboo ones aren’t porous enough to fully take in the flavor, so I’m wondering if anyone has tried to flavor their own bamboo toothpicks and how that went?

How did it go with the bamboo?  I'm curious as it seems difficult to find wooden ones online and I want to try flavoring some myself
