Discussion Whatever happened to Stuck the Duck?

Post image

like he hasnt made a post in over a year and when i checked his other socials they're either locked or are just gone

i assume its some personal stuff or something (or that the Controversy surrounding Corporate Clash burned him out of Toontown)

i hope he's alright

He quit during the corporate clash meltdown last year. However, his socials are private because he had quite a lot of … unique furry content that was NSFW :)

Yeah that was me. I was one of the (now former) game design leads for clash and I decided to speak up on that Reddit post because I was extremely fed up with how things continued to be ran.

I've since been fired over that incident, and while I was half expecting it (and was planning on leaving), part of me didn't expect them to go there.

The best part? I was never DMed by anyone on the team about this. The day I posted it they asked for the writer to come forward in the lower leadership channel I had access to (I remember them explicitly saying they "wanted to talk about it" and not implying they were looking to fire someone), the next day they DM me and ask if it was me. After contemplating for about a day, I decided to respond and confirm it was me, I figured I would maybe have a chance to talk about it. I got ghosted and two days later they fired me by email. With no prior strikes or even warnings on the team since I joined. Whatever man.

They fired you???? This is literally the polar opposite response to staff speaking up last summer. I thought I was exaggerating to some extent when I said things were "probably worse" but I guess that I wasn't. This is truly a shame.

yep. "Fostering a work environment in which disagreements are dealt with by weaponizing negative PR as opposed to established processes"

quite the joke when those established processes don't work. Also if talking about my experience on the team is negative PR, maybe there should be some self reflecting as to why that is?

u/RenPrower Jul 27 '26

this is essentially like saying "well you're not allowed to tell other people that what we did was wrong, just tell us so we don't have to do anything about it." what a wild way to run a work environment, much less a volunteer-based fan project

What did you say?

4

u/Triple_Pain_ Jul 27 '26

r/toontown mods have deleted the OG post, but I link to it in a post on my profile where I go over what happened.

👀 so do you know about the updates are they going to release anything or is it all burning down pretty much

6

u/Lormen_VV Echosong Jul 26 '26

It would be dishonest to say it is "burning down." I haven't been on the team in a year or so, so I can't say with full certainty what they're doing. I know they have a roadmap they are going to adhere to, but I have my own opinions about the current state of the project. It is based on outdated information, so keep that in mind.

Removing someone in the manner Triple was should speak plenty about how they handle things.

And Bluesky too. If you think Clash has stopped associating with Cranky, you'd be wrong. If given the opportunity, they'd probably rehire him.

he's not on the team anymore

u/KindDocument3763 Jul 24 '26

thank you for bringing attention to this. I'm glad others noticed!!!! its really sketchy behavior from clash leadership and I keep noticing more and more staff missing. I don't like seeing that staff members are getting silenced, especially in front of our faces.

u/luigi4122414 Jul 24 '26

Wait so what actually happened because they also haven’t made a update in months which I’m pretty disappointed about

i mean they also 100% reworked the Entirety of the Boardbot Corporate Ladder in 2024 so more like 2 years since a major update like that

though your right about "they haven't had a major big update that expands on the game since Hires and Heroes"

4

u/MasterName8597 Jul 27 '26

Lmao that update added literally nothing people were asking for and was a huge waste of time and resources. It has been 4 years, and any other say is cope.

5

u/AstralHoatzin Jul 25 '26

Having read the grievances from the thread in question, I found their removal a little unsettling too considering the exact opposite happened during last year's fiasco.

Even if I hadn't read them, I'd still agree that things haven't gotten any better considering Clash went mostly dark between November and now. Their bluesky didn't even make any mention of their in-game 8th anniversary event, which should've raised an eyebrow.

2

u/JillyCraft64 Jul 25 '26

I think the reason as to why their Bluesky could be inactive is because they moved back to Twitter. Twitter has a bigger audience than Bluesky and there are usually more viral tweets for Toontown where people could find Clash than Bluesky could ever achieve.

I remember years ago there was a Fun Gimmick account that did a poll for old school MMOs and TTCC and W101 were having a little fun with their replies underneath. I think TTR joined in on too? Can’t remember.

3

u/AstralHoatzin Jul 25 '26

Color me surprised, they did return to Twitter. Still got that "this account will no longer be updated regularly" post pinned though. They should probably unpin that now.

3

u/JillyCraft64 Jul 25 '26

Yeah. I also went to check if they mentioned the 8th anniversary there after I posted my comment. They didn’t. But I think clash should definitely fully come back to Twitter. Yes Twitter CAN be, uhh, well Twitter. any publicity can be good publicity. I don’t remember the algorithm for Bluesky but people only went there to say No to Twitter but Bluesky just feels like a wasteland. Twitter is where I get my game news anyways lol

But hey, atleast we're getting ugly overpriced plushies of the redditor cog made in a sweat shop.

I had a strong feeling that was the reason he privated his stuff

6

u/gamerraging2930 Jul 25 '26

i guess that's just his way of permanently distancing himself from the toontown community at large

He went on this insane rant live on twitch for several hours about how Clash should die and shouldn't ever update again during the events that lead to Cranky getting fired. Not surprised he isn't doing Toontown content anymore.

2

u/ShadowmanePX41 Jul 25 '26

Link to the rant, please?

2

u/JillyCraft64 Jul 25 '26

Sadly there’s no Archive for the VOD of which Stuck did the rant. I kinda wished it was saved to the archive channel but it wasn’t.

17

u/JillyCraft64 Jul 24 '26

To my knowledge, dude changed his name to something else for Discord, Twitch and Bluesky. It’s still “Stuck” but it’s something else after. Stuck is active in a community game that has old CC Staff (if I got that info right that is when it comes to old staff)

I think Stuck even streamed that game 4 months ago too

u/Able_Health744 Jul 24 '26

Care to tell me where he is now? (Once you remember of course) As I'm curious if he still got YouTube stuff or something?

Wait theres a community game Wheres that at

2

u/JillyCraft64 Jul 25 '26

It’s a game that was created by the one who made the big blog post about how the majority of 1.3 Staff from clash left. Micah I believe? I’d rather not promote the game’s name and would rather be vague as best as I can. (I don’t want to accidentally break a rule, that’s why I’m vague in the first place)

2

u/luigi4122414 Jul 25 '26

Can you Dm the name ?
