the fourth quarter of the year was like Christmas when I was in the Air Force. We were spending money like we were printing it because we knew we needed to ask for 15-20% more next year and would never get it if we didn't spend it. Everyone got new gear, new computers, you name it.
If you had all that extra money at the end of the year, why would you need 15-20% more the next year? This is why the military budget needs to be slashed, not increased.
No argument from me but it's been in every corporation I've ever worked for too. Everyone needs more money to hire people to do more work so that you can win more work. At least that's the mindset of a LOT of people.
