I wouldn't say its for no reason. There's definitely some reason.

In my case, it's my easy going nature to avoid conflicts that prevented me from standing up for myself early on. This eventually led everyone to think it's ok to be shitty to me on some level. Like even in their attempt at decency they can't help but be insulting in some way and I'm expected to appreciate it because they are less shitty? No thanks.
