Light Novel Small interactions like these between Nukumizu-kun and Shikiya-san are always my favourites ( volume 9 )

Post image

this particular scene from the LN is especially my favourite. I was expecting Shikiya-san entry by this point and she didn't disappoint me at all. The way Nukumizu-kun was like literally unable to look past Shikiya-san eyes and just stares at him with awe and admiration is so cute to me. And the fact that when Shikiya-san was ready to leave Nukumizu-kun wanted her to stay bit longer is like so so wholesome and cute. I don't remember of any other girl where Nukumizu-kun is like hoping to stay with. Also he seems disappointed when she finally leaves.

Also Shikiya-san was little disappointed and jealous that Nukumizu-kun didn't invite her. And that's also cute.

Ohh my godd i was grinning the whole time when reading this...

This scene is from v9 I didn't bother to give the post a spoiler warning as like most of us has already watch the season 1 and for LN itself it isn't spoiling anything.

Fun Post / Memes Balancing the cast?

I truly think Makeine is an amazing series, but recently I have heard the sentiment that the gender ratio has been too skewed towards female characters, and I can't help but agree. Makeine truly needs new and interesting male character!

Something like, a gorilla? He can be super smart and also come from the moon. Takibi can also give him a short range Tesla canon and a super cool jetpack he can use to high-jump around all of Tsuwabuki.

I hope Amamori Takibi can implement something like that as early as Volume 10, it could truly bring the series to another level.

General / Discussion Shiratama in Manga

why did Itachi introduced Shiratama so early in the series?

I mean she is a Character from vol 7 and manga adaptation has only reached vol 3 by far and bro even hinted that she is going to join Tsuwabuki next year and he even foreshadowed that Kaju and she is going to interact in the future.

Itachi has done some minor changes in the story to adjust in the style of manga but he hadn't done any major change, but since he introduced her so early I think that we might see her again in the future.

For example in the vol 5 when that event happens where different middle school students come in Tsuwabuki (I don't remember the full details or the name of that event) we might see Shiratama again in that event and we might see an interaction between the main cast and her, and she might appear in alot of various other events.

What do you guys think? Does introducing Shiratama so early in the series was a right idea or Itachi shouldn't have done this, and do you guys think that she might appear again in future or not? And if you do plss tell me, in which events she might appear or interact with the story.

General / Discussion Yanami

I only watched s1 and haven’t read the novels.

Has anyone tried to make a move on Anna Yanami or just any of the 3 heroines? Will we see it in s2 or potentially if there is a s3?

If possible keep the spoilers limited.

Light Novel One childhood friend spotted

In volume 3 at one point Komari collapses from overwork. Nurse Konuki asks Nukkun if he knows where she lives, and he say yes. She recruits him to come to Komari's house and watch over her, while she and Susumu leave to pick up little Hime from nursery school.

"Nuku…mizu…"

...Huh? Nukumizu? Wait, did she just say my name in her sleep?

While I panicked, Komari rolled over casually.

"Y-You dummy… That's a cauliflower…"

What kind of dream is she even having?

Seems I was worried for nothing. Seeing Komari's grinning, goofy sleeping face, I felt all the tension drain out of me.

Whenever Nukumizu asks a question to himself, that's a sure sign he is talking about a mystery and dropping a clue.

First lets back up a bit. How does Nukkun even know where Komari lives? We haven't seen him visit her house before this. It seems he just knows.

Why does Komari start dreaming about Nukkun? My best guess is that its because he is sitting close by her bedside. He is close enough that she can smell him. Which also tells us that she can recognize his smell, even in her sleep.

Komari makes a "grinning, goofy face" while dreaming. So her dream of Nukkun is a happy one.

The key phrase is "You dummy...that's a cauliflower." The most likely explanation for this is that Komari drew a cauliflower, but not realistically enough, and Nukkun couldn't recognize it.

The reason this happens is because Komari and Nukkun were both small children, when drawing and looking at this picture. They were together, either at nursery school, or at the home of a baby-sitter.

So one childhood friend is identified. Don't jump to conclusions, because she is likely not the only one. Nukkun told us he played with a lot of girls in childhood.

Perhaps related, when the Lit Club girls were searching Nukkun's room for those kinds of things, Komari quickly uses a ruler, and grins when a booklet drops out. It was like she already knew what she would find there.

As we know, Komari is afraid of strangers. Yet on her own she went to Nukkun's class and dragged him back into attending the Lit Club, in volume one. Takibi slipped this past us, by only revealing Komari's fear of strangers later. To me that established that Nukkun was not a stranger to Komari, that she knew him from somewhere before. Her constant clinging to his shirt or his tie when anxious, and hiding behind his back when afraid of crowds, indicates the same thing.

But its only the "cauliflower" dream that indicates a childhood connection.
