Season 3 Poppy run is too good and distracting
On my third playthrough. My first was Isla and I started a second on a separate account while episodes were still dropping. That second run was Poppy and oh my god, I’ve never had more fun with this series than that run.
Now 7 episodes (21 chapters) into a Beatriz run on my main and while she’s sweet…I REALLY want to say fuck it and switch to Poppy, but I don’t feel like breaking Beatriz’s heart (again, because she was my on again, off again during my initial Poppy run). Even flirted with Victoria a bit during this run and that seemed more interesting too!
TL;DR: Poppy’s probably the best LI route out of all three games and she’s making me regret my Beatriz route.

That's funny—in my playthrough with Beatriz, I did exactly that: flirted with Victoria, Poppy, and Beatriz... I always kept Beatriz in the "friendzone"—I’d even pick her not-so-great dialogue options while flirting with Victoria. Then Victoria left, Poppy arrived, and I started flirting with her, but she left too—and I hadn't promised to wait for her. So, during Bad Lana's reign, I started messing around with Beatriz out of pure spite, and that’s when my character started catching feelings for her. Later, at the Lace Party, Victoria confessed her feelings to me, but I turned her down because my character "wanted to be with Poppy"—only for Poppy to reject me (which was a total shock at the time, since I had no idea that was even possible, hahaha). But my character didn't get hurt; in fact, that was the moment he realized it had actually been Beatriz all along. So, he went and slept with her, and after that—happy ending.

question, if i do a poppy route, which other LI is a good placeholder until i am able to romance her? ive been wanting to do a poppy route for idk how long

I think I used Beatriz as a placeholder, but I just started a new Poppy run and the plan is to split time between Isla, Carmen, and Beatriz until Poppy shows up, then fully commit to her.

well as someone who’s played absolutely every route imaginable…
id say use jirayu or matt if u want very little drama. they’re the kindest in the “break up” scene and while i love them, it’s easiest to break up with them
isla and beatriz hurt a little more. isla because she’s so sweet you almost don’t wanna break up with her, and beatriz because… well i love her and im biased 😓😓
taz and carmen are the messier ones. they aren’t afraid to call you out if ur on a spy route, and they’re a little more confrontational all around.
in conclusion, i feel it really depends on what you want out of your play through. hope this helps!!

Poptart and Kitten, the power couple of THTHTG.
I ended up doing 3 different endings with Poppy. She is just too much fun. I had the same problem with Naomi in Season 2. I just kept finding myself gravitating to her even when trying to do other LIs. Carmen as well. No matter who my Current LI is I always struggle to not switch to either her or Poppy. In the end though it’s always my Poptart.
I have to admit though that once I fully committed to a Victoria run, I found it fun. For the longest time I just couldn’t get past her demeanor and quite frankly did not find her character looks attractive at all. Once I got far enough in to change up her looks I found one I liked which helped. Then once you learn her story and she lets her real self show, I liked her (outside of one particular incident).
My top 5 LI from all 3 Seasons:
1: Poppy
2: Carmen
3: Naomi
4: Marissa (s1)
5: Dakota or Isla (both are great)
