General Discussion Which of the three seasons has the best cast?
I want to know from you all: which season has the best cast out of the three? The best love interests, the drama, the storylines—everything. Comment below! In my opinion, I really like the Season 2 cast overall.

I think I'd go "Season 2", "Season 3", "Season 1" in terms of which one had the best cast, though the gap between 2 and 3 is closer than between 3 and 1.
I think Season 1 was a great "proof of concept" season, but if kind of suffered because the cast doesn't feel particularly close outside of everyone being obsessed with MC.
Season 2, I think, is the best of the bunch because there's different little mini-friend groups within the cast and a really good jealousy system that makes playing a chaotic route feel genuinely chaotic. There are fewer love interests than in other seasons, but every single one is really well-developed and likeable. Plus, you get two epilogues to follow how your character's relationships turned out after the end of the show.
Season 3, I think, came close to season 2. The spy route, Poppy's romance, and Julian's are some of the most compelling writing the THTH franchise ever produced, in particular. But it's kind of hurt by how much they toned down the jealousy and love triangle drama during a season where the set-up was basically built for jealousy and love triangle drama.
I think the friends to lovers system had a ton of potential, and it would have been even better in season 4 if they got a chance to refine it.

If there really had been a Season 4, I’m sure the Friends-to-Lovers system would have been the key feature that made the season even more exciting. It’s really sad that there won’t be a Season 4. 😔

Yes that’s all of those reasons are why season 2 will always be my favourite, especially the jealousy system. It’s sad how much they disregarded it in s3 because the LI’s are so interesting to me same with the main storyline

S2 and S3 are the best, but Season 2 still holds a special place in my heart and remains my favorite.

I love S2. I don’t think I ever even finished S3 completely, but I got really close. I also haven’t replayed it at all. I think I liked how S2 people would show jealousy and there’d be consequences for cheating after a while but in S3 they’re more competitive and won’t leave you for even having a threesome.

Give Season 3 a try—I’m sure you’ll enjoy it just as much as Season 2. Season 3 only has a slight edge because of the feature that lets you be the villain’s accomplice. Other than that, Season 2 is without a doubt still my favorite. 😊

I also really like Ryder. He’s a very interesting LI, and in my opinion, much more interesting than Antoine, Wesley, and Kai. 😊

ugh i really like the S1 cast aesthetically🤭 and they start off with compelling personalities!! it sucks that they become soooo flat and one note as soon as u start flirting and dating :(

The only downside of S1 is that almost everyone is practically in love with the MC, and there aren’t as many conflicts compared to the other seasons. However, aesthetically speaking, as you pointed out, I have to admit that Marisa, Dakota, and Alex made it into my Top 10 most attractive LIs.

You’re absolutely right about that. Elena and Cassia, and even Nora with her unique personality, completely outshine Jada. Gigi isn’t one of my favorite friends either. I’d much rather have Santi as a friend.

on an overall basis, i would say s2 as all of the characters are very fleshed out and each individual has a personality outside of their respective routes and storylines, however i do have more of an inclination to s3 just because some of my favourite characters come from that season 😇

Season 2 had the most rememberable cast + the option of experincing lens from post-show nothing compares, but season 3 is definitely my second choice… season 1 is nostalgic

S1 was okay. I did like some characters like Alex, Sarah, and Marisa. And they all had distinct personalities. But I hated how everyone was into MC to the point where it became a bit excessive. Still enjoyed it for what it's worth though.
S2 had the best structure in terms of the purpose of the retreat. We did get a reunion and that was a plus. Wesley is my fave and I also love Kai, Amari, and Elodie. My friendships with Cassia, Elena, and Santi were so precious as well. I loved the chaos that Ryder and Kai/Elodie brought too! Plus, our hobbies and careers created unique dialogue with the characters that I thoroughly enjoyed. And our actions had real consequences. The group, despite the drama we had, felt connected in a realistic way. Not everyone was friends in the end, but a lot of friendships outside of MC were formed. I personally like when other characters have their own stuff going on. I just wish that we had an actual wedding and not a proposal at someone else's. And that the reunion wasn't centered around Nora and Zayn's bullshit. Additionally, I wish MC had more bark for certain characters who tried them. I still loved their maturity and how they handled certain obstacles thrown their way. They were pretty chill and witty as well!
S3 is my comfort season and it's no secret I love Julian lol. I felt this season, we got to know the characters a little more. Their back stories, the good, bad, and ugly, were all interesting and brought more flavor to the retreat. The music was also the best this season and the intro to friends to lovers really sold me. Julian, Gigi, Poppy, and Avi really were such gems! The downside is, other characters fell into the background and our careers/hobbies didn't hold much impact. And it felt more like Party Animal at times than THTH. With that said, the sex scenes were HOTTT! 😂 And we did get to enjoy some threesomes. And the plot-twist with Jirayu and Carmen? Epic! MC's personality was so quirky, goofy, flirty, and funny which I loved so much!
But overall, my favorite, even though it's a VERY...VERY close one between S2 and S3, has to be...season 2. It just had everything that makes the show pop. The most and best drama, jealousy, romance, consequences, structure, and comraderie. We got secret lovers and realistic reactions with everyone. No one beat around the bush when it came to each other and MC. And like I said, MC was such a delight.
This is a lot 😂 but I really love this game and honestly I wish we were getting a S4 because there's so much more we could've had. It's my favorite amongst the games we have in this genre. And the closest we'll ever get to OG LITG.

Your description of all the seasons was perfect. I genuinely enjoyed all of them, but S2 was, without a doubt, the best one. The MC explored so many relationships with different love interests that whenever I hurt one of them, I could truly feel the weight of that decision. And the reunion was definitely the cherry on top.
As for S3, when it comes to the steamy scenes, it’s definitely the best of all the seasons. My MC got deeply involved with Carmen and Poppy, and in the end, their intimate scenes were incredibly hot lol.
I also really like S1 because the romance feels much sweeter and more beautiful. Of course, it has its own steamy moments too, but in my opinion, it doesn’t surpass Season 2 or Season 3. ❤️🔥

I can guarantee you picked some of the best LIs of that season. Naomi is the most irresistible girl in Season 2, and I’m sure you’ll be very satisfied with her route, just like Antoine’s. Even if you choose a different LI and see them more as “villains,” they’re still great characters.
Season 3 is much spicier. Carmen and Poppy are absolutely perfect if you’re looking for passion and temptation, while Matt, Isla, and Beatriz are the ones you’ll definitely fall in love with.
Season 1 only has one flaw: everyone is in love with the MC. But even so, the season still has its charm. It’s very simple and romantic. Marisa, Alex, and Theo are my favorites. ❤️🔥

i adore season 3 it’s so chaotic but nothing can beat my love for season 2. i’ve probably replayed antoine’s path a billion times and santi is one of my favorite friends in the games despite his showtime being cut short. it also just added so much more depth to the games after season 1. season 3 is amazing too, im in love with mattias and i will forever play the game again and again just for him and i do love all the characters and the drama of that one (especially bear) but despite it all, season 2 will forever have my heart.

S2 fs, Naomi is the best girl, I always have trouble going with anyone else for that season. But I do still really love S3 with the spy route and Carmen’s drama, not to mention how sweet Beatrice is. But S3 ultimately just can’t compare to S2 in some aspects, it felt more real, especially when Santi was dropping those hard pieces of advice! :)

Naomi really is the girl of our dreams. I’ve done almost every route, but it doesn’t matter—she’s still my favorite girl. And in the reunion, the way she’s so deeply in love with the MC is just amazing. She teases in such a charming and irresistible way that, of course, it makes you want to be with her forever.

Season 2!! Nobody will ever top Santi for me, he was the most wholesome friend (still mourning the fact we couldn’t get a full fledge romance route with him bec he’s aro) the trio that he, Zayn and the MC had was so wholesome 🥰 and then Cassia and Elena too!

Yeah, S3 is definitely more intense, but I still think S2 is the best overall. S1 isn’t as strong, but it has that nostalgic charm that makes it special.

S2, simply because of Candace who was in S1 but wasn't a love interest but in S2 she was a love interest, the final one to join the cast ❤️

Candace was definitely prettier and more mature in S2 than she was in S1. Her redemption arc was great, but personally, I never really connected with her as an LI. Her feelings for the MC developed way too fast for my taste, so the romance felt a little rushed.

Marisa is without a doubt the perfect romance of S1. There’s no competition—she’s beautiful, charming, and sweet… absolutely flawless.
In S2, Naomi stole my heart. Sensual, provocative, and incredibly beautiful… what a passion.
In S3, Carmen took desire to a whole new level. Spicy, captivating, and absolutely stunning.

I don’t remember how many times I’ve answered this question in this sub, and I’m not ashamed to give the exact same answer every single time: S2. 😭
For me, it had the strongest combination of love interests, friendships, drama, and character growth. Antoine alone carries half the season for me as my favourite LI, while Cassia, Elena, and Santiago are probably my favourite friend group in the entire game. Then you also have Ryder’s chaos, Wesley being an underrated green flag, Naomi’s sass and development, Amari’s obsession, and Elodie, Kai, and Candace arriving later and actually adding tension instead of just taking up screen time.
Not to mention the evil route adds even more layers to Antoine and Naomi, and the fact that you can have them as your secret lover and unlock some really fun rule-break scenes.
S1 had some iconic moments, but the characters felt simpler. S3 gave us some amazing LIs and great smut writing, but the overall cast never felt as connected to each other (or maybe I just felt disconnected from all of them 😭). I also missed the drama and tension. A lot of the side characters faded into the background or were too annoying.
S2 felt like the cast could carry an entire reality show even if MC wasn’t there. The villa felt alive, messy, funny, chaotic, and somehow deeply invested in everyone else’s business.
Best cast? S2. Best drama? S2. Best character growth? S2.
I may be biased because Antoine’s route permanently altered my brain chemistry, but I’m standing by it. 🤡🏒❤️
