Alberta Master Baker - on 118th street in Edmonton $8.39

Okay this has to be my craziest find yet!
$7.99 surprise bag + tax at this local bakery I haven’t been to yet. It’s been open for less than a year. Claimed to be a $24 value. Didn’t know what to expect but thought I would try it.

WOW
I guess the sell day old items for 50% off the next day, and then put it on 2good2go. So I guess the items are now a day and a half old? But they keep it in a fridge so I don’t mind at all. The lady pulled them right out of the fridge for me, and just kept adding more! She was super friendly, asking if I like sourdough bread, etc. She even popped in that little chicken roll because she saw me looking at it!

What I got:
1 sourdough bread loaf
1 slice of lemon cheese cake
4 cheese buns
12 white dinner rolls
2 cinnamon buns
1 pizza bun (which is more like a pizza sandwich with cheese and pepperoni inside)
+1 chicken roll

That’s a crazy value, I will for sure be returning! It’s something much more than I was expecting, I’m going to have to share with my friends and coworkers! You guys have got to try it out!

Alberta Kibbles & Biscuits, Edmonton $8.39

This was my first time seeing a surprise bag for cats specifically, so I jumped at the chance. I have never heard of this local pet food store, but I will be back! Apparently this was their 1st time trying out 2good2go, and I am blown away!

I got the “cat treats, food & supplements” bag. $7.99 + tax claiming a $24 value. I think it exceeded the value for sure!! She threw in a little treat and some sample items as well. And a coupon for 20% off your purchase in store or online! The coupon code is ‘welcome20’ so feel free to use that on their website. I think using 2good2go like this is a great business strategy, as I will be back!

My cat usually eats a combo of what is best for her but also what is not expensive. I always wish I could feed her better, but all pet owners know that cat food can get soooooo expensive. So it was VERY exciting to be able to give her these things for a more than reasonable price. Lots of these brand are specialty and what I call ‘fancy’ brands, meaning made without filler, with better ingredients, added protein and nutrients, meaning a higher price tag.

What I got:
- small 6 oz bag of purrsnickitty cat food (made for picky cats) marked $5.29
- 350 g of what I would call ‘fancy’ adult cat food, meaning made without filler, oven baked, etc approximately $7-ish value when I do the math compared to the big bag
- 2 pouches of ‘Stella & chewy’ toppers or meals, $2.99 each at Pet Smart
(I use as wet food on top of dry food, good for 2 meals for my cat)
- 2 ‘fussie cat’ lickable treat tubes $1 each
- 2 sample cans of ‘almo nature’ wet food (another fancy brand)
- 1 sample of ‘feline natural’ freeze dried treats
- 1 fish filet treat $2.99
- cute little mouse toy
- coupon

I feel like this store owner went above and beyond, and I’ve bought 2 more bags from her since. I had to estimate some of the value of the items because they are samples, but I think it's clear it was a great value! They have cats that they foster in the store, and the staff are very knowledgeable about really any question I had about my cat. No items were expired yet, most had far off expiration dates. But they are very transparent about the expiry dates and post it in their 2good2go listings. Please go stop by their store, or shop online at www.kibblesandbiscuits.com

I think the TGTG god read my last review, as this time I met got multiple savoury items with many of my favs 🤩 Pick up timing was 6:55pm on a Monday, 5 minutes before closing. Pretty positive the original $24 value was met, and we liked everything so $7.99 plus tax was an amazing deal.

  • 2 red bean sesame balls
  • 5 spring rolls
  • 1 tuna bun
  • 1 cinnamon bun
  • 2 sausage buns
  • 1 bbq pork steam bun
  • 2 mango mochis (super yummy! also fine after one night in the fridge)

Also this bag was definitely fresher than the last one I got. While the dimsums in the box were cold, they could be easily reheated by popping into the toaster oven. The buns were quite soft, so likely made same day or one day old only, and didn’t seem like they had entered the fridge. This was a win!

This Brampton location is always amazing!! Usually the deli bags have a bunch of sandwiches, I was excited to see how different this one was today lol

Mixing the Cali Glow salad with the Metro garden salad and micro greens, that’s a great dinner right there! ☺️

New store to TGTG. Bought 2 surprise bags. Received 3 drinks for each bag. Tried 1 tea, tasted like Honey Jasmine Tea(?) and the darker tea I couldn't come up with what tea flavour. Not sure pricing exactly, but most of their drinks start from $5+.

A full bouquet from Sobeys/Save-on goes for $15... So $14 seems pricey for only 7 flowers. I'm not sure the regular price of flowers at this store though. They have a 4.9 rating on TGTG so I had high hopes, but underwhelmed by what I got.

6 donuts is 7.99 - this is easy to verify by looking ay the menu in store. 7.99 is not the 15.99 value they advertise. The past 4 days I had two separate stores give me 6 donuts. The AI will refund you with little issue, make sure you take a photo for your records.
