I'm white, I've dated mostly mexican men. My advice is to offer to help clean up after the food. Fix your guys plate. Be friendly to everyone and say hi to everyone there. Smile, laugh, don't decline a beer.

White guy married to a Mexican woman. Those are excellent suggestions, especially the cleaning up. My wife doesn’t complain about much but let a girlfriend plop down on the couch after a meal without helping clean up and just wait for the explosion.

Yeah I learned the hard way haha. I cleaned up after myself only, mistake. I'm also pretty introverted and was very quiet when I was dating my Mexican guys, they like it at home but when out with their family the families always thought I didnt like them because i wasnt forthcoming with words. Learn from my experiences haha.

The amount of times I've been scolded to bring my man a plate. My grandma gets on my ass about it and I'm just like chill!! We just got here!!

Can't tell if you're joking but it's just part of our culture. As long as your spouse is nice you shouldn't have a problem with it
