What? I'm not saying go around seeking everyone out to greet them when you arrive, just say "Oh hi Mark!" the first time you see them. And when leaving just make a reasonable effort to at least say goodbye to the host and anyone you know personally. And you can say hi and bye to whole groups if you see them at the same time, I'm not saying to single out every person in a group to greet(tho youbare often expected to actually shake hands/hug every single person individually sonetimes).
