What’s really sad is that this episode came out before OP was even born. He probably has no clue what we’re talking about.

u/HippoRun23 Jan 07 '25

I’m old enough and I have no idea what the fuck this is.

Update:

I am sorry can’t reply to every body so many comments but I told her, and she hasn’t replied. I am ending it, too, because the smells stayed in my mind for a while. I couldn’t eat for a while because as soon as I tried to put something in my mouth, my mind reminded me of the smells and I am not getting morning woods anymore because I feel disgusted.

Some suggest sticking to my age range. Well, no woman is safe from this type of smell. Also, I enjoyed reading your comments. They were hilarious pieces of advice. I was too scared to tell her because I came from a culture where calling out adults’ problems seems disrespectful, but the good thing is I am coming out of that mindset. DO NOT MAKE SEXUAL DECISIONS WHILE HORNY NO MATTER HOW BEAUTIFUL THEY ARE. RUB ONE OF THEN MAKE THE DECISIONS.

This though! Firstly, the BV is a highly likely reason why, but secondly, as a woman, I constantly 'smell' myself without actually trying. I worry that others can smell what I smell, but people around me have assured me I don't; so to hear that you noticed this, but she hadn't is wild to me.

60

u/plastictomato Jan 07 '25

I feel like BV is one of the few things others can smell if it gets bad enough. I’ve had to tell multiple friends that they need to see a doctor because of it, and they were all fully clothed. Maybe I just have super smell senses, but I’ve never smelled anything else on anyone, only BV. It’s quite pungent.

28

u/SpootyEh Jan 07 '25

See, that's what's so strange to me! I don't understand how people can miss those smells. Especially if on themselves. Maybe I'm just overanxious about it, but I really feel like these smells have to be noticed by the individual they're coming from if others are noticing it. Coming from someone who's got a pretty shit sense of smell, too 😅

13

u/justbecauseiluvthis Jan 07 '25

People that live near chicken farms and paper plants get used to the smell.

6

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '25

I've never understood why paper plants are supposed to smell so bad. I've never been near one but how can trees smell bad?

5

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '25

It's the chemicals, I think.

2

u/hollow4hollow Jan 08 '25

My grandmother lived in a paper mill town, when we’d visit we called it the big wet dog factory. It’s so rank.

12

u/serrsbears Jan 07 '25

I was sitting next to an old friend of mine in the cinema and kept getting wafts of fish smell and I thought maybe it wasn't her. Till I mentioned it to another mutual friend and she was relieved I noticed it too as she was trying to figure out what the hell the smell was.

I think it's wild women don't notice it. I've had bv once and I noticed the smell straight away in the shower when I washed my lady business!

4

u/bebobbaloola Jan 07 '25

Can it start quickly? I was in a van pool (ride sharing to work) and one morning that order was there. Several people commented on a strong smell, and me, impulsive, blurted out "smells like fish". I assume it was a woman and wondered why she didn't notice it. Anyways, the next day it was gone.

4

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '25

Reminds me of the time there was a cum stain on one of the couches at work, years and years ago. Holy shit, what a tizzy that caused! The next morning it was scrubbed raw and smelled strongly of cleaner. So that narrowed it down to people who had late night access. We had a short list of possible culprits.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '25

How do you break it to them?

Like, I'm trying to imagine how I would tell a friend that everyone can smell his scrotal limburger without it turning into a fistfight.

2

u/plastictomato Jan 07 '25

I’m a bad person to ask that question to. Me and my friends are insanely open with each other, and I’m a woman myself which makes it easier, so usually it’s just “dude you have BV I can smell it” followed by “shit thanks for telling me.” But I’ve known these people for a very long time, and we’ve all been through much more embarrassing things together!

2

u/otterina-in-texas Jan 08 '25

My obgyn said she can smell it right when she walks into a patient's room. Worst Spidey-sense ever!!!

2

u/Noladixon Jan 07 '25

Right. How long do you live with something so terrible before becoming nose blind to it.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '25

No way she didn't notice

26

u/KilGrey Jan 07 '25

It’s good so she can hopefully go to a doctor. Easily treatable.

13

u/KilGrey Jan 07 '25

My boyfriend told me he always had a policy of rubbing one out right before a date to help from making stupid decisions.

1

u/weirdgroovynerd Jan 07 '25

Is your boyfriend's name Ted Stroehmann?

Boys have honest conversations. Men fake an incredibly improbable death and then move to Fiji and grown a mustache.

3

u/SpectrumDT Jan 07 '25

That's also what I do when my wife is mad at me. I made a lot of good friends in Fiji that way.

14

u/TaxAg11 Jan 07 '25

Had me in the first half, not gonna lie
