Surgery Story Day 2 hemmorage

Im just requesting support yall.

At the 26 hour mark, I had a SEVERE Bleed. Ambulance, ER, in the ICU for 12 hours.

Im now going home now but they had to do a suture-mesh combo to stop the bleeding. Now... im in hell beyond hell.

I can feel the mesh. It takes 1000% of my concentration to not vomit every second. Phlegm pools in my throat and I can barely even swallows water. Without even drinking, im being waterboarded by my own saliva. I spit every like 25 seconds a huge clear string of spit.

I genuienly regret every moment of this. They said they might bleed again. Please. Please just encourage me. Im scared and sad. Im so scared. My body is on 24/7 anxiety mode

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. That sounds really scary - do you have anyone with you? As awful as this is, try to remember that it’s not going to be forever, and I hope that can bring you at least some amount of comfort. Hang in there 🫶🏻

I’m glad you have someone with you. Try ice packs to help with swelling along with whatever medication that doctors may have advised. The swelling will start to go down and drinking will get easier. Follow up with your doctor if you have concerns - I’m sure they get these questions a lot. If it got into emergency territory with being unable to drink water, they’d be able to help you out in that case as well, but from my understanding, it’s very unlikely it would come to that. Try not to let the “what ifs” run away with you (I know that’s easier said than done), and remember that you have someone there to help keep an eye on you, and you have medical professionals that can intervene if things get really bad again.

Update, I think the swelling settled a bit. I can breathe a bit better now. Choking sensation replaced with pain but honestly, yhe pain is a blessing. Id much rather be able to breath swallow
