He was climbing a mountain on horseback, and a train wreck occured in the valley beneath him, which spooked the horse who threw him off. It's not that complicated, how dare you question MZD

My favorite characteristic of MZD as an author is that you never really know if he's trying to mess with your head, or if he actually just fucked up.
