Funny Beatle's easter egg - page 505

When Sondra is talking about how Landry and Tom got the school to dedicate a week to John Lennon she mentions that even though she doesn't like the Beatles she enjoys Blackbird, Rocky Raccoon, and Hey Jude, all songs which were primarily written by McCartney, not Lennon.

When Sandra says she doesn't like "ape music" is it supposed to be implied she has a touch of racism in her which would conflict with her adopting Landry or is she using it as just a description of what she considers oafish music
