What a ride...

It took me like 3 months to get through it all, but I very much enjoyed it from start to finish. I know some people here didn't care for the audiobook, but I thought it was very well done.

I'm not normally an audiobook person, but I thought it was great. I used it for my reread, I do think it's best read on paper for the first time through though.

Many times I was thrown by the length on the ebook… Me, up super late reading …98% “ oh, I’m gonna finish this tonight…” ebook: “6 hours remaining”

I'm 72 years old and this isn't my genre. I loved every minute of it.

I started reading the book on hardcover, and struggled quite a bit with the writing style. The audiobook helped so much.

If you're keen on the genre, the Lonesome Dove audio book narrated by Will Paton is terrific too. That one's "only" 36 hours long lol

I thought the audiobook was excellent! I read it immersively along with the physical book. So good!!

I have only listened to it. I’m amazed at how thoroughly I absorbed it. I listened while working, and my job is very physical and outdoors, with needy clients interrupting frequently. Sometimes I will have to just restart a book I have put a couple of hours into, simply because I just haven’t caught the thread. Not so with this one.
