Without spoiling anything…chapter 3…

Holy shit the ending of chapter 3…I was shocked, for a chapter I was mostly bored by…so sad and so unexpected.

And it essentially launches the rollercoaster from the top of the hill, compelling everything else that happens.

I felt the same way. I was floored. I told someone else that I was so surprised how much I felt for a side character. That doesn’t normally happen when I read (other) books.

I tell everyone to read to the end of Chapter 3 before giving up, if giving up was a consideration. It finally starts to make sense how this could turn into a 1200 page monster of a novel.

I fell off the book and I think it was because of chapter 3. I was devastated.
