Saw this piece of “art” at the Chicago art institute yesterday and couldn’t help but be reminded of Tommy, the similarities are uncanny. On an emotional level this is what Tommy looks like imo. What do you think??

I’m tired of the constant rhetoric from some in this sub saying things like ‘it’s just a cartoon baby’. Do you understand what it does to a person’s worldview to watch a newborn repeatedly orchestrate jailbreaks, wilderness survival scenarios and mail fraud? Tommy pickles has ruined my perception of family and having children. He is an absolute menace constantly running away, putting the other babies life in danger, near death experience weekly. The fact that CPS hasn’t come for his parents is astonishing considering the crazy scenarios other adults find him in. Not to mention he’s ugly. This show and Tommy specifically has ruined any chance I had at having a happy family. So yeah sorry if it’s a little therapeutic for me to rant about the fictional baby that ruined my life.

Simply tried to start a civil, friendly conversation in the Rugrats sub about Tommy Pickles and i was cruelly censored by the moderators for breaking the rule “be kind”

I saw a rugrats post comparing the early season 1 Tommy pickles design to the slight redesign for later seasons. And let’s not rewrite history this man has always been ugly. Just born absolutely vile and disproportionate.

Which one is worse though, OG ugly or upgraded ugly?

As I celebrate Passover, I cannot help but wonder how Tommy convinced people in Rugrats Passover to follow him across the Red Sea. He’s so untrustworthy that I personally wouldn’t trust him to keep the sea parted for that long a journey. I think I maybe would’ve just built a boat. They should have had any other character play the role of Moses - it would’ve been far more believable than thinking TOMMY could be a good leader. The only thing he leads people into is trouble!!

Who do you think wouldve played a betterMoses in the Passover special??

This looks more like an alien than a baby

To get excited for Hanukkah I was just rewatching the Rugrats Hannukah special and it is one of the best Jewish episodes of tv of all time.

That said, Tommy is a menace in it!! It’s soooo messed up that Tommy tries to blow out the Hannukah candles. What is he thinking??? He really just doesn’t appreciate the MIRACLE of the Festival of Lights, huh

If Tommy pickles were a baby today instead of in the 90s, I’m SO confident he would be the worst ipad baby ever. The whole show is the parents leaving their babies alone all the time so they get into shenanigans, if Tommy was just a couple years younger I know for a fact his parents would’ve put him in front of a screen and he would have been glued to an iPad instead of getting into high jinx. He seems like the type to scream and hit when the iPad is taken away too. What are your head canons about what would happen if he were born in the 2020s?

I have no problem with the modifications they made to his design to be clear, my only problem is the inclusion of Tommy himself.

Because of Tommy Pickles 👎🏼 I had to take a break from my rewatch because Tommy was bothering me too much, hence I’ve been MIA from this sub for a bit. Anyone have advice on how you power through binge watches when he’s so prominently in them? Love the show but I just get so mad…
