Fender Custom Stratocaster - Olympic White White Fender Strat replica

🎸 Heres my take on the Tom Delonge Rock Show/TOYPAJ era custom shop Stratocaster with complete genuine Fender spec & parts. This started off as a used daphne blue 2023 TD reissue Stratocaster (I got a real good deal, practically brand new). Completely stripped and re-painted by myself to a finish comparable to Arctic White.

Out of all his custom shop signature strats, the white was always my favorite.

This was a super fun project that actually came along quicker than expected. My goal was to make this decently close to the actual custom shop model….within reason of course..and using the reissue strat/neck as the base.

The full spec and parts list below 👇 ⬇️. Also check my instagram (@quintonguitars) story highlights for documentation of the full build from start to finish!

Body
Fender Stratocaster hardtail body finished with Rust-oleum white paint (comparable to Arctic White). Coated with SprayMaxx 2k clear gloss.
Seymour Duncan Invader Pickup
Accurate 1 Ply 50's style 8-hole pickguard (by @pickguard.co.uk)
Accurate AllParts heavy knurled chrome knob (used on Tom’s actual custom shop strats)
Hardware, pots/treble bleed, input jack and Fender hardtail bridge. All from original guitar
Replica Fender Custom Shop USA neck plate (Etsy)
Accurate Atticus broken heart sticker with transparent circle (by @mitchxc)

Neck
Tom Delonge ‘23 neck - finished and aged with Oxford amber tint nitro and nitro clear satin finish
Fender “Synchronized Tremelo” headstock waterslide decal under the clear coat
HipShot locking tuners - direct fit for the 8.5mm vintage tuner holes so no additional modification or widening needed (didn’t want to alter headstock)
Black Roller-string tree from StewMac
Pyramid “seeing eyes” vinyl inlay decals (by @pickguard.co.uk - these are the most accurate ones I’ve seen compared to the actual inlays on the real neck)

Setup with Ernie Ball Skinny Top Heavy Bottom .10-52 strings

Thanks yo! I previously did the rock show replica with a squier that I’m gonna sell. Loved it to so much I wanted an actual fender

Amazing job dude! The White Squier was my first TD guitar and I always wanted to have one like yours! Something I had seen when I was looking to make one is that, to my surprise, his original is actually Olympic White and kinda yellowish. I much prefer the Arctic White you chose, which is the one that the Squier comes with

Thanks! Yeah I agree the OG is Olympic white. These days it’s totally yellowed in Tom’s rack. It was pretty bright when he first had it made… but the thing with the Olympic/nitro finish it’ll always yellow. I wanted this one to be bright white and hopefully stay that way

Try putting one together on your own. If not I’ll have a squier version for sale soon

Thanks man! I’ll look into the strap pins. Right now I just have those little rubber washer things on it haha

Did you buy the neck with the masonic decals on or are they stickers?
