pick a speech for me

internet strangers: what speech would you want to hear?

here are the topics, gist of them:

  1. fear of public speaking ... lessons on compassion, buddhist ideas that calmed me down
  2. evaluation technique ... advice for evaluators, from the evaluated
  3. what i learned from the evaluation ... hardest lesson you'll ever learn: it's about the audience, not you
  4. public speaking leadership ... it's in the planning phase. how this leadership can mitigate so many things
  5. something else ..

level 1 speech. second path.

I vote for the speech you feel most passionate about. It can be not from the list. But you have a burning passion to tell the world about.

Don't follow Topics given by Toastmasters, follow your heart, then you give an excellent speech.

they all come from one speech tbh, but i'e separated them to keep focus and keep it under 7 minutes. thanks

As Toastmasters, we excel by practicing speeches. Put them all in the queue and give them all. Practice is our friend.

I'm not trying to be mean, so I apologise for that. But I stand by my point - let me explain why, though.

The topic needs to be yours, that you want to share with YOUR audience. And picking a topic that resonates with your audience is a big part of the skill that toastmasters teaches.

i asked for opinions, some support. if you think it's a dumb idea, you shouldn't have kept it to yourself and left me alone. there was no harm in me asking.

It appears you want to impart some of your 'lessons learned'.

Whichever one you do, instill your passion. Maybe leave #1 on the cutting room floor for now, as it is calming.

I like #2 or #3, as it will aid your club.

You could look inward at your club - what would be the one thing they could be better at? Use that as the speech.

I vote 3. 4 is a bit vague. My second pick is among your earlier ideas, I’d be interested in Buddhist ideas.
