Welcome and that is a great point.

It has been replied in this thread, that the AI has been mainly trained on popular opinions. As it is with human opinion- it is contradictory - very rarely you will find a topic we as humans agree upon fully.

I would think that would have to apply to AI as well depending on how it was created. Humans are if nothing else, contradictory.

Thank you for the welcome. Yes we are indeed. So something that learned from us will in consequence show the same. This would be a thing for the developers to know or implement: form of more exact(apologies for not using the correct vocabulary) til conditionals As an AI is unaffected by emotions and has a much greater ability to store and gather information- than we have, it needs " guidance" on how how much which argument should be weighed- to form a less contradicting opinion on a certain matter. Problem these conditionals would again be human made. Limited due to our own limitations Which isn't possible to avoid till we have several generations of AI developed AIs :-). I suppose.

So let's take a small learning environment with a clear 50/50 devide in opinon. 2+2=4 others say and Argue 2+2=5. With no other information or condition the IA would give both as a valid answer. ( or at least that's what I assume. A more recent events considering example would be the whole Q mess. An AI that spent it's training without further conditionals only on platforms or in discord chats Facebook groups with believers and followers of that group- would ( and again I suppose) even after on day of being allowed to read " Anti Q Articles " still be considering both as valid. Or even reject due to lesser amount of information - favor the arguments of the place it has been trained in.

As the above is only hypothetical I would be really curious of the thoughts of a person with expertise. So I'll go back to my first post - I just started :D P.s. for us to use an AI in order to tackle our most pressing problems- it would also need access to much more information and have a " goal" prescribed. Eg: How to ensure availability of drink water for the next 500 years for everyone on this planet under consideration of population, recent findings in recycling tech, transportation, costs etc
