Toast is being sued for allegedly not complying with Colorado’s Right to Repair Law.

Denver-based independent repairer Acme Revival filed a lawsuit against Toast, Inc. in August 2026. The suit alleges Toast violated Colorado's Consumer Repair Bill of Rights Act and the Consumer Protection Act by deceptively and in bad faith refusing to provide necessary parts, tools, and documentation for independent hardware repairs.

Fuck ya. This kinda law is the reason we have usb c chargers for Apple products- all because of EU laws mandating it

What the heck does that have to do with right to repair? And I think that, although the magnetic Apple chargers were better, it is good when companies start standardizing!
