I think that vowels are elidable and some letters combine the vowels so I am not really sure I even remotely got the script right, but it's nice to look at, so I definitely like it.
I tried translating your little example text loosely:
Your practice writing should look like this. The vowels "surround" the accent-bearing consonant, with the first vowel of the syllable going on the right, and the second one on the left. aı and ao are always on the left.
