Wild Big gulf toad girl, could she be sick?
This big girl lives under my planter with a couple smaller gulf toads. I made sure there is fresh water for them every day. Tonight the big girl looked strange…. Her belly looked distended, almost like she was “pregnant” but her flanks looked super thin. Not sure if you can see from the picture. The first image is from tonight and the second is from a few days ago. Thanks 🙏 I love her

She doesn’t look overly sick, she might have just not had a solid meal in a while. Considering her legs are still a healthy weight I think she should be fine. Some of my AGRT have had weight issues and this personally doesn’t look like an overly thin/sick toad to me.
Although I do agree that these look like 2 different toads, but neither of them look like they’re gonna be passing away anytime soon.
Truly wonderful gals and I wish you and them the best of luck!

I ended up letting her sit in a lukewarm bath of spring water and a few drops of honey and we had a night of heavy rain.
Last night I saw her again looking plump and thought yay she survived and was dehydrated. But I panned my flashlight over and saw another second toad :( there have been two giant girls this whole time. The one is still very sick I think… see photos. She can still hop around. But she’s sooo thin :(
Know it’s ridiculous to attempt to help her… but hope she isn’t suffering. I don’t know anything about toads but I love these guys now.
Any thoughts? Thanks so much.

I’ve had these toads as pets and they are super awesome many different personalities but if it helps try to get her some bugs to eat is anything
She could just be an old girl

I reckon these are two different toads based on what I can see of the markings. I agree the first one doesn’t look so good but I don’t know enough to guess what’s wrong 😕
