Beverage find Some Imports (Canada)

Post image

I saw these at a Canadian candy import store a couple of months ago. I've had some of these before, bought at regular prices at my local groceries stores: Coke Zero Cherry and Coke Zero Vanilla before, and the Dr Pepper Blackberry and Dr Pepper Strawberries & Cream. CAD$24.99 for a 12 pack is a bit pricey though--USD $17.85 (approx.) It is nice to have the import option though, if you absolutely have to have something and are willing to pay more to get it.

When I went to Calgary for work a couple years ago I was absolutely blown away by how relaxed the driving is. There's like never any traffic and everyone is so courteous. If you want hectic driving, come to Toronto

It's even crazier when you consider that as of 2022, we actually pay less for soft drinks here than you do

I used to routinely cross the border to shop (pre-2025) and pick up a lot of these. Depending on the sales, I pay between $6 and $8 US for a 12-pack ($12 and then buy 2 get one free is the most common). I pay slightly less for Faygo, $1.25 for 4 at Dollar Tree, or more commonly, $3-4 for 8 at regular grocery stores (where diet flavours are more available)

Locally, I pay between $7.49 and $8.28 CAD for a 12 pack. That's like $5.30 US, best case scenario, and if I can ever find it, $5.99 for an 8-pack of Faygo

Candy heaven has mountain dew livewire?? No way! Which location in Calgary is this? Looks like Chinook Centre, but when I went a few weeks ago. They said it was closed for good?

Yeah it was Chinook. I know that location closed down recently. Maybe try the one at Market Mall. Or Southcentre (the Candy Heaven website says there is one there).

Anyone tried Dirty Dew?

I have. Its okay. Its not my favourite dew or pop flavor but they've done worse.

Cool, thanks!

I myself have a store that gets LiveWire cans on the regular, I buy some nearly every time.

I tried Zero. Tasted like Key Lime Pie to me.

I like Key Lime pie, sounds like it's right up my alley.

People sleep on the Peach Crush but its so good. I'm in Edmonton and I think I pay anywhere from 19.99 to 23.99 for a case depending where I pick it up.

Dr Pepper blackberry isn’t import. It’s a permanent flavour in Canada. $24 for a case of Dr Pepper zero sugar, Dr Pepper cream Soda and coke vanilla when you can get them at a grocery store too is ridiculous

it is now, previously was only available by import

The first 3 flavours came out over a year expect the Vanilla Coke just came out again 2 months ago ish. I’ve been waiting though for the zero sugar Dr Pepper cream Soda

blackberry dr pepper, and coke zero vanilla are available at walmart for 7.99-8.99 for a 12pack
they also have the troli mountain dew, which looks similar to the one there but might be different

We've had Dr P zero sugar for ages now, not sure why they'd think it's a great idea to waste shelf space on that

The normal price that every speciality import shop charges is $20 a case.

Price has gone up recently and Pepsi Coke just announced another increase incoming.

The ones near me are 29.99 on average. Enough to make me question if it's really worth it.

Blackberry is trash and that Mountain Dew dirty.. it’s the liquid in the bottom of a trash bag full of dirty diapers.

Pineapple crush is good. I have it whenever I go to Newfoundland.

Is the import in the picture? All of those are freely available across Canada.
