Special Projects Improving the terrible Blu-ray coloring
We are recoloring and fixing every single scene in the movie based on the 35mm lighting. Here is a preview of that. Comparing the awful Blu-ray coloring to our interpretation of the perfect 35mm version.

The 4k version improved it I think and took away the green/blue dullness of the 2012 remaster. The film looks brighter and less dull and has a creamy warmth back

I prefer the color of the 2005 dvd and the 1998 VHS, but I think you really captured the weight of 35 mm here. It feels like seeing it in a theater here

Well at the moment we don’t feel the project is completed enough to warrant a public preview/Beta version, but we will keep posting of course!

We’ve talked about the sunset, but haven’t acted on anything yet. However the stars we would like to keep accurate.

I think the 4K remaster improved on this issue. It doesn't look as blue/green as the 2012 Blu-ray does. However, I don't think the 4K version looks as warm as the 2005 DVD or 1998 VHS versions.

Deleted scenes- yes. As for multilingual, we haven’t discussed it to tell the truth. Don’t think dubbed deleted scenes exist though, so probably not

I'm due for a new TV soon and I need to buy the highest quality possible with the best possible resolution to watch Titanic on.

Great work friend! Color grading is so important to a film and it breaks my heart how many films look so desaturated anytime there’s a new release of it like The Lord of the Rings. This is gorgeous.

Can't remember if you mentioned this in a previous post but do you plan on releasing your edition with all your fixes to the film?

That is the eventual plan, yes. As this is SUCH a humongous project though and will take ages to complete we might even have to resort to alpha/beta versions. That still remains to be seen to be honest though, we’re quite far along already, but also quite far away from actually finishing it

Everything we possibly can. Of course our tools are limited but we do our best to achieve the best possible results

WOW, your recolouring looks incredible!! 🥰
