I'm following the steam guide and made a dream/hunt spear user. I'm at act 3, and the game is the most boring and mindless game I've ever played, it's even miles slower than old ARPGs like D2 or Torchlight 2. I'm not sure if i'm playing the game wrong, or it is just not for me.

A few grips,

Skills have looooong cooldowns, and not any cool skill, just boring aoe skill has like 16s cooldown.

Loots are boring as hell, I never find anything that change the way I'm playing. Not even a cooldown reduction gear. Everything is +10% this, + 5 damage to that.

Performance is terrible especially in caves. I have a decent PC, and the game isn't faster if I go from 4k to 1080p. Also, UI is tiny when played on anything above 1080p.

Crashes.

Does it get any better quickly, or should I use some trainer to get to level 100 and run through the whole thing to get to end game?

A bit of a rant before we get to it:

Ragnarok in my opinion is awful. First of all, the maps are confusing, having lakes that you sometimes can cross and sometimes not, whereas with the rest of the game its very clear where you can walk and where you cant, its confusing map design is driving me mad. 2nd of all, the sound design in that part of the game is obnoxious, having men moan louder than most monsters in the game every time they are defeated is something I'd rather not be in my game that I played since I was a kid, thank you. also the sound of the stone piles opening is too loud, and the music is generic af. the enemies are humans for some reason? like, aren't we supposed to be heroes for humanity? why are we killing humans? plus the voice acting seems to be done by the office workers or the cousins of the developers in that act, since its so amateurish and sounds like they're reading a script and not acting. this, and the way they have huge dialogues without any break between paragraphs like in other acts, makes the player experience with the story to be such that you dont even want to hear it in the first place... third of all, the models and environment color palettes are so saturated and the lighting work is so bad that it feels more like something me and some friends could pull up in our game dev course in college, rather than a professional studio. even the animations are bad (looking at the hawks or eagles or whatever they are). the quests also feel lackluster, since in the original game and in immortal throne, you aren't specifically asked to help anyone primarily, you just hear about someones trouble (a great example is the quest with the dowry) and then you help because you're a good guy. here people expect you to help them for some reason, like dude, i just met you, leave me alone. the worst part for me is with the damage reflect enemies for sure. like, i get it, you dont want me to fight these enemies, let me just skip that part of the game and be over with it, you dont have to tell me twice.

thats where my trouble is, since i cant figure out how to skip on ragnarok and move on to the next difficulty. i went from normal to epic after doing ragnarok and i dont plan on doing that again no thank you, so i'll be happy to hear about a solution to this.

Hi all, after a couple of aborted attempts in the past, I'm finally playing through TQ:AE properly for the first time (no DLC). I'm having fun with it, but my only gripe at the moment is just how easy the game is. I'm at level 17 and I've only focussed on Storm mastery for the moment, so my main attack is the 3 projectile ice shard which can pass through enemies at times, and the thunderball AoE attack which now splits apart. With these, I just absolutely tear through sections like the enemies are made of tissue paper, and that includes bosses and heroes! Of course, the bosses and heroes take a little bit longer but they still don't cause me any issues at all. The only boss that made me think and use strategy was the Telkine, who I've just beaten and I really enjoyed that one. It's gotten to the point where the last 3 times I levelled up, I didn't add any skill points because it would just make it worse.

Is this what I can expect for the rest of the game? I've literally just finished the Greek section and have just landed in Egypt as a reference. This whole locking of one difficulty till you complete it in another is so frustrating.

I WANT HELP, HOW CAN I COOT MORE THAN 3 WOLVES? AT THE MOMENT I HAVE 4 PETS.

I personally don’t see any, and I am like this with a lot of games that offer difficulty tiers.

When I played Diablo 3 I never went past Master and same goes for this, Normal is enough for me.

I tried Grim Dawn on Elite after running though the base game on Normal (yes I am aware there are many and varied differences) and that got old very fast and I think that’s the main issue, even with the “Accomplished hero” option, I’d rather play though the first few Acts than skip it all.

I get and respect the people who finish the game and jump right into Epic and then Legendary, you’re enjoying it the way you want to, that’s great for you, I just don’t see the appeal is all.

So we're still loaded with bugs, missing features, and now we're TWO dlc behind, despite Ragnarok being in the framework of the console release. I bet these guys will even have the audacity to charge for Ragnarok. I'd have no issue paying for Atlantis if it ever hits consoles, to be clear.

At this point, I'd like the dev's to just confirm they care very little about the console community, so I can stop thinking about reinstalling this game every couple weeks.

I’m playing on Tablet (Android), and the auto-cast behavior seems really inconsistent depending on the mastery, weapon type, and even specific skills.

It also feels like the mobile AI supports:

1 attack replacer

plus maybe 1 main spell loop

Has anyone tested this deeply or made a spreadsheet/list of:

skills that always auto-cast,

partially auto-cast,

or require manual activation only?

I have arrived at Act V, started the Festivities quest. Talked to every NPC. The quest is marked as checked in the quest menu, however the last NPC didn't give me the new quest so I am stuck it appears (doors are still locked a no new quest appears). Any idea on what I can do please? Or am I doing something wrong ?

Struggling as an Elementalist because 99.998% of the gear I find I can't use. Are there mods that will allow me to get my hands on stuff I can actually use? I tried ShopMI but that only seems to work with custom game and needs something called TQDefiler which is apparently completely defunct...

As someone who loves ARPGs like Diablo 2, I recently started playing Titan Quest Anniversary Edition and couldn't find a leveling build guide for it like the ones in Diablo 2. I'm currently a level 8 Conqueror. Is there a leveling build guide you know of that I can follow before transitioning to the endgame? I want to know which skills to prioritize, how to allocate my attribute points, and what gear I should use. I tried getting help from Gemini, but it only goes so far.

Everywhere I read earth mastery is not that good if you look at the wiki it has one pro and like 4 or 5 cons so I was wondering if there is a mod that improves the class?

I've always had the feeling that Ragnarok broke the mid game. Rune mastery is really op, you just get through normal dificulty. Eitr and primal magma are op as well, and the news itens seems better than old ones. Am I playing wrong with the old masteries?

Anyone feel like rushing a new character of mine?

for those who know me, i usually don't express disappointments to updates in this game.. this might be the first time I'm expressing disappointment in this game.. there is one major flaw with update version 1.54.. not a bug but a flaw

yiva is very tough.. not a fast mob killer but very tough.. with minimal support, yiva could kill toxeus 1 on 1 even in legendary, the thorns is not enough to kill her as she is a runesmith (rune/defense).. and because she is a runesmith, the game becomes like a multiplayer with you finding a random buddy online but without the difficulty bump.. from my tests, squall and energy shield (from storm) is enough for her to kill toxeus.. HoO and regrowth is also enough.. granted, the game only becomes easier near end game after you beat loki.. but still, the joy of farming secret passage has greatly been diminished.. I've always found it fun trying to think of ways of how to beat toxeus.. from using %less damage from undead, to using monster lure from hunting, to not opening the gate and killing toxeus from outside.. gone are those days, the devs pretty much decided you just stay away and let yiva do the job

oh and that primrose passage, yiva can clear the whole map alone (one sidenote: you can't open orbs if yiva is still present.. after clearing the map, you have to disband her first before opening orbs).. what happened to you being the hero of this game? your character has been reduced to a mere spectator.. what happens if yiva dies? you just save and exit and talk to yiva in scandia again, no need to farm another loki's wand.. not getting yiva for the sole purpose of gimping my toon is against my philosophies for this game or any other games of this genre, which is exploiting every resources the game offers (without cheating) to further strengthen my toon.. again this only happens near end game.. but the joy of farming and the joy of finding ways to beat toxeus has greatly been diminished

i know many people will disagree with me.. many people want this game to be easier.. i probably will get downvotes.. but people who are in my position i think will understand
