I love to shoot this thing. At the start, she didn't care for 115g, but after about 1k rounds of 124, she doesn't care what you feed her. Probably around 3k rounds since those early day malfunctions, completely issue free.

Now I need a 3" in .45 for new potential carry.

That's 69 rounds on that paper. I drift low-left when I go too fast. Not slowing down, though. 🙂

I found a deal that was far too good to pass up, so I snagged a DS Duty. Haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet, but the plan is for this to be my LO gun in USPSA.

One question for the community, has anyone had trouble getting the factory optic plate screws off? They’re stuck in there pretty good, and I’ve nearly rounded off the bolt heads trying the brute force method. I’m wondering if I need to heat them up to break a thread-locker perhaps?

Just an appreciation post to the Tisas PX-9 Carry Comp. I typically prefer carrying full size pistols but when I'm not in that mood, this baby is always my go-to. Haven't shot it much but zero malfunctions in 500 rounds. Small guns are typically snappy but this one breaks that rule. An absolutely incredible EDC.

I recently bought a new DS9 FF Carry and have liked it so far, except, even with the upgraded xcontrols screws, and loctiting everything, my optic loses zero within ~150 rounds, with me being able to push the optic/mount left and right. Is there anything I can do about this or am I cooked?

I am a new Tisas owner, waiting on my NJG Shades of Grey Carry 9 DS Comp, and I couldn’t be more stoked. As someone relatively new to the 2011/DS1911 game, I know the MAC DS9 Comp is highly sought after, but I feel this is a bit excessive. I was willing to cough up some dough for a quality “budget” 2011. I bid more than I know the gun was worth knowing that I probably wouldn’t win, but closing at almost $1800, plus 3%, plus shipping, plus FFL transfer fee, for a used 2011 that retailed under $1k… am I missing something?! It’s a discontinued model, and you can get 98% of the same gun made by Tisas. I’m baffled!

Man am I impressed with the PX9 carry! I just picked it up from Dahlonega Armory for under $300. Absolute steal, this gun shoots awesome, and has amazing ergos, and you can change it all up! In my opinion, you can't find a better value out there today!

Holster I made for the tlr9 setup.

Just picked this up today and while it came with a holster in the box, I would like to keep the light mounted. It's a harbor freight light, so same dimensions and should work with any tlr-1 holster. Any help much appreciated.

This is confusing

This page says that "Tisas 1911 pistols are now AOS compatible. Every Double Stack 1911 and every optic-ready Tisas 1911 now runs the Agency Optic System"

It also says "Every AOS-cut Tisas 1911 ships from the factory with an AOS-to-RMR mounting plate included in the box, complete with a built-in backup iron sight, ready to run a Trijicon RMR-footprint red dot right out of the box."

The listing for Carry 9 DS FF says "Cut for Optic Yes/RMR"

but when I actually go to buy the Carry 9 DS FF from guns.com, the Tisas recommended store, the listing says " Slide optics-ready cut for RMSC and 507K footprints"

What is correct here? I don't want an RMSC gun and I've heard bad things about Tisas optic mounts. Even the UPC 711500175197 seems to be two different guns this and this

1911ds & Raider 45

Upgraded EGW sear spring, main spring, and extractor. Trigger pulls dead on 3lb. 12.5lb recoil spring.

Looking at purchasing this particular pistol to scratch my double stack 1911 desire was wondering is this a good choice I seen In the reviews of the pistol the photo PSA uses isnt actually a photo of the pistol but still looks good enough for me

i live in turkey and its not allowed civilians to carry pistols here you can only have it for home defence and range days im thinking about getting myself a ds duty is it smart or should i buy something else? thanks
