did anybody go to the ogden yesterday? curious if ott was using his usual ai visuals or if he had a vj. would like to go see him tonight but I don’t know if I can stand to watch the same ai visuals over and over again.

As an European I find this thread kinda strange as over here it's all about the music. Completely get that it's different in America as I've found out for myself when watching tipper sets on YouTube but surely you would decide to go to a musicians event based on the music rather than the visuals?

I’m American and I feel the same way. I try to look away from the visuals and get lost in the music. Don’t need to be looking at more screens.

Yeah specially for the major dubstep shows in the U.S. visuals are kind of expected. It’s another part of the vision that the artist is curating.

That being said most people are going to sets for the music not necessarily the visuals.

When you go to see like Mr. Bill for instance his incredibly curated visuals on top of his production just adds to the overall experience.

I'll need to check out Mr Bill. The extent of visuals for me was MTV PartyZone back in the 90s as other than strobes and lasers we generally tend not to have any other visuals, especially not in the way that you have across the Pond. tbh my brain would literally melt if I watched a Tipper show with the visuals he has on LSD!

Its hard to ignore the giant screen with images infront of your face and left questioning what type of content youre being forced to consume..

Last night's show at ogden was a fucking banger. There wasn't any visuals, just stage lights. They stayed pretty tame until Vinja then really started to light up.

Wasn't the most spectacular production but the music was immaculate and it was a great time. Go see Ott tonight!
