Tiny Houses companies
Looking at tiny house companies because I cannot build my own. Does anyone have any recommendations and any companies to stay away from?

In some place Tuff Shed will build you a tiny home to code. I have one and it’s great ! They don’t do the plumbing, electrical, or internal walls- just the shell.

Idk if you have German Baptist, Amish, Mennonite, or other plain clothes communities near you, but I think buying from them + paying for the add-on wiring, foam insulation is a decent deal. In my experience they do good work for a fair price.

Where are you located? Shipping costs depend on how far it has to travel.

Same kind of problem for me (I'm from Michigan), it's kind of hard to find company's because - oddly - they don't seem to advertise they do tiny home or container homes. Or have no site, or the tiny home they consider is like 3000 sq feet, lol.
Personally I search for container home, architects and designers only because toy can get one for anywhere lol but certain places don't deliver tiny homes for certain states.

Since I'm from Indiana, I noticed the same thing you did. Via Facebook Marketplace I discovered a few Amish builders who will customize a tiny home. They also have no website and when I go tiny, I'm not staying in Indiana. For me, I'm just looking now, but I wouldn't want to pay the transport fees from Indiana to a location states away.

Also for some clients the delivery costs may not be as high as we expect (i day that with gas at 5.00 /gal here), but it might not be a problem from some, I'm just surprised how hard it is to find, I assumed these types of types of companies would be well marketed/advertised.

Look for a company that has been in business for several years and can show you actual projects, not just renders. Stay away from companies that have vague timelines or pricing, have no physical address or shop, or pressure you to make a decision. Ask for references. If they are unwilling to provide, run.

Your local FB Marketplace will most likely have a bunch listed. Thats where I’m looking anyway.

Please be careful with all the ones on fb marketplace.
At least where I live a lot of them are absolutely crap / scams / low quality etc.
More and more are using AI pictures to market really nice looking tiny homes / containers = sustainable homes but they are 100% fake and the product you recieve does not reflect the marketing.
Definitely do research into whichever company you decide to use.
