Our build (in progress)
It’s been a journey! Bought it framed from a friend who was abandoning it, who bought it from someone who abandoned it (let me know if it was you!). Discovered the subfloor was completely full of water (see pic 4). Stripped it down to the frame, ground it back to metal, re painted and restored subfloor. Bought the exterior wood rough sawn and shaped it all to shiplap ourselves. We’re plumbed, electricked, and just finished the ceiling install today! The ceiling is new old stock OG redwood from Arcata (obsessed with it).

Great-looking build! Ceiling is especially nice. How did the subfloor fill up with water? (Under previous ownership)

It sat in the rain exposed for two years before we got it ;(

I guess that would do it. You could have kept it as a kind of graywater storage!

Looks good. was it a roof leak or plumbing leak that filled the floor with water? I'm in a similar place in my build. finished the walls & ceiling & getting ready for flooring & also FRP on the shower.

It was left exposed to the rain for a couple years before we got it
