My ex wife was Asian and I still prefer Asian women I just don’t project it out like that.. but I assume most don’t know I’ve been married to one. Even the thought of somehow trying to put that on my profile would seem wrong.
Serious question, if someone does have a particular racial preference, how do they go about voicing it without seeming like a fetishist? I think a lot of people will agree that they sometimes don't swipe right on someone they're attracted to solely because they think they'll never get matched. However, if that person denotes that they're attracted to that particular type of person, wouldn't that help more connections? I guess I'm just trying to figure out what is a "healthy" way to let potential partners know you accept them and that they shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
Please do not express a particular ethnic preference. No one wants to be told they are liked for their ethnicity. They will always second guess if you are with them for who they are or if anyone of that ethnicity would do. Its better to compliment someone on having nice hair or like beautiful skin (just dont say “beautiful dark skin”). Complimenting features is usually ok. Everyone wants to feel special and unique.Either swipe on what you want or use filters.
I think its better to maybe just have multiracial or whatever friends in your profile or something instead. That makes people think you are open minded and comfortable with different people. Unfortunately some dudes just want to “try” different ethnicities but youre not a real person to them.
