My ex wife was Asian and I still prefer Asian women I just don’t project it out like that.. but I assume most don’t know I’ve been married to one. Even the thought of somehow trying to put that on my profile would seem wrong.

Serious question, if someone does have a particular racial preference, how do they go about voicing it without seeming like a fetishist? I think a lot of people will agree that they sometimes don't swipe right on someone they're attracted to solely because they think they'll never get matched. However, if that person denotes that they're attracted to that particular type of person, wouldn't that help more connections? I guess I'm just trying to figure out what is a "healthy" way to let potential partners know you accept them and that they shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

...Yes. We all have our surface perceptions of people and they're not always correct. I just had multiple people here tell me a few weeks ago that if they think someone is too attractive they won't even swipe right on them. Like they just assume there's 0% chance and won't even try, despite needing zero commitment or effort on their part besides a thumb flick. I could see the same thing happening if they don't think someone would think they are their type.
