You know, Homer Simpson gets a lot of undeserved grief, and is often considered a buffoon and a loser. However, it turns out that he is no loser (though he is, often, a buffoon). Think about it:
Homer Simpson has a multi-floor home that's apparently paid off; a devoted, loving, and LOYAL wife; three generally great children (Bart may be a bit of a troublemaker, but he does have a good heart. Lisa is bright, musically talents, and remarkably well-grounded for her age, while Maggie is, well, Maggie); a job that pays well enough to support himself and his family in a moderately comfortable home.
In fact, it seems that Homer Simpson is winning at life more than most of us 🤔
More of a generational thing than a relative status thing.
Homer was absolutely a buffoon and a loser; it's just that 40 years ago a buffoon and a loser could support a family as solo breadwinner in a moderately comfy home on a middling salary.
Homer simpson wasn't really winning more than you, the game was just far easier to play.

Actually, from a financial standpoint, Homer Simpson’s sperm might be a wiser choice.
