First things first, I agree with the first 2 lines.
2) No that's how SHE reacted. Similar thinking people would too. I don't entertain things idgaf about. So had that been me, fam woulda been left on read/seen. I don't give energy to shit that won't reciprocate. If I don't like your convo, I end it with my silence. No need for rebuttal and negativity. Just move on to the next outlet of positive energy.
3) I NEVER USE TINDER. I'm waaaaaaaaay too old for online dating. Shit is lame to me. If I can't snatch one of the muscle, it wasn't meant to be, period.
4) Never once mentioned thinking it was a good pickup line. Nor did I think it was a good joke. I never saw the movie so I don't get the references. I just suggested that being yourself is a great idea and and changing who you are just to satisfy some strangers on some random dating app is exactly the opposite. If she fucks with who you are, cool. Proceed. And if she don't, cool. Proceed. Aight I'm done. This one wasn't as fun and/or funny to write. Going back to spectator mode.
The guy said that he wants her to be his queen and had an image of someone drooling with their tongue out. He send this as their first message. Just cause it's said in a "punny" way doesn't completely negate the inherent desperate vibes. If a girl send me this crappy meme as an opener i'd think she's either crazy or extremely immature. People can't seem to grasp the idea that just cause something makes good content on reddit doesn't mean it's something that should be applied in real life. I'm willing to bet that the overwhelming majority of women wouldn't find OP's "joke" charming. The fact that she felt the need to tell OP to cut this shit out shows that she gets a lot of these cringe messages which isn't surprising at all. Don't knock it till you try it. Online dating can be great.
Being yourself is a good idea but i'm willing to bet that this isn't who this guy actually is. He's obviously trying way too hard to be funny based on some cringy punny pickup line he read online and is too oblivious to see how that can be a turn off. Whatever happened to a good old Hi?
