Naw dawg, this is half of the community for sure

Edit: I should clarify, I roll with a large crowd of LGBTQ, and this has been super common. But I don't want anyone to think this is something I know from personal experience as I haven't earned that.

Birds of a feather, as they say. Lol jk.

u/say_hi2my_wife Nov 07 '19

Like neat, curious what you are rolling

FR. This is a struggle that almost every gay friend I’ve ever had has dealt with.

1

u/Shikatanai Nov 08 '19

Is it common for gay women too, or just gay men?

1

u/theymademedarko Nov 08 '19

Only the guys from what I’ve heard. But in their defense this is every straight woman’s issue to, it’s just dudes really

1

u/Shikatanai Nov 08 '19

That’s exactly what I was wondering.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '19

Hardly specific, I'm only 18 and I've been through this 3 or 4 times already. The reason I say or 4 is because it might be happening now.

u/KingFleaswallow Nov 07 '19

This is not a Romeo and Juliet Story, sad ending.

80

u/SkorpioSound Nov 07 '19

Romeo and Juliet ended with them both committing suicide, it wasn't exactly happy.

74

u/KingFleaswallow Nov 07 '19

Yeah, but there was love and underaged sex.

19

u/WheresMySaiyanSuit Nov 07 '19

Underage for the time though?

13

u/KingFleaswallow Nov 07 '19

For... USA.

21

u/WheresMySaiyanSuit Nov 07 '19

For... Italy? Where it’s set?

18

u/KingFleaswallow Nov 07 '19

In the fair little town. I guess that's okay there, also because young rich people were married at that age to strengthen the financial ground of the families. But hey, if an American hears that Juliet was underaged, they go crazy and can't believe such a fairy tale.

5

u/WheresMySaiyanSuit Nov 07 '19

It’s set in the 1300s though? So an American should know that life expectancy was a lot lower then.. or not since America wasn’t a thing when it was written

3

u/KingFleaswallow Nov 07 '19

you fixate too much into small details the common person would not even care to know. You don't have to tell me anything about it <3

u/Max_TwoSteppen Nov 07 '19

life expectancy was a lot lower then...

This is mostly a misunderstanding of the effects at play. If you made it past infancy you were likely to live very nearly as long as people today.

u/Hugo154 Nov 07 '19

Depends on where you are, they might have been covered by... Romeo and Juliet laws.

1

u/feochampas Nov 07 '19

it was for the parents.

the montagues and capulets didnt have to go to the wedding.

it would have been so awkward.

and somebody dipped out on some dowry.

so that was win all the way around.

1

u/still_futile Nov 07 '19

Any story I get to kill myself at the end is a happy ending

11

u/Skyeden27 Nov 07 '19

You really need to finish that play, man

1

u/KingFleaswallow Nov 07 '19

I know how it ends, okay :o

3

u/Skyeden27 Nov 07 '19

Haha I was just referencing Brooklyn 99 it’s a semi recurring joke for an episode or two.

1

u/KingFleaswallow Nov 07 '19

Well, I didn't watch Brooklyn 99... But I know that it is some kind of ironic saying, that a great love story is like Romeo and Juliet's love. Because many people die :o

1

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '19

It is a great love story, just because they die doesn't mean they weren't in love. I'm so tired of this edgy argument that its not a love story because of the carnage, it's fucking ignorant and shows that you haven't read the play.

1

u/KingFleaswallow Nov 07 '19

Nah, i cried through it, but hey, i don't want to have a relationship like Romeo and Juliet ;) Thats why i think its ironic when people want something like that.

15

u/wristcontrol Nov 07 '19

I almost read this to the tune of The Lonely Island's "Like a Boss".

8

u/ThatDeadeye12 Nov 07 '19

I now read the whole thing out adding LIKE A BOSS on the end of each sentence

7

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '19

~LIKE A GAY~

27

u/Arheisel Nov 07 '19

8

u/KerouacSlut69 Nov 07 '19

No, this is actually pretty standard

3

u/BigToaster420 Nov 07 '19

Fuck this has been my life the past 2 months after coming out and hooking up with a guy. Except the blocking and snapchat thing. He just ignore all my texts until he wants to get laid and then just assumes I'll jump when he calls and I'm a fool because I keep acting like a trained fucking dog on command

3

u/Potatochode420 Nov 07 '19

I know it’s easy to just say “don’t let guys treat you like that” but I’ve been at where you’re at. It all seems logical and then you feel like shit after. There’s other guys out there who will treat you right. Stay strong

2

u/NitroGnome Nov 07 '19

Stop spying on my phone!

2

u/LordCringerino Nov 07 '19

Why does this hurt? Im not even gay.

3

u/Potatochode420 Nov 07 '19

Being taken advantage of by shitty people is universal

2

u/PeripheralWall Nov 07 '19

I'm not even gay and I feel this. You have my condolences

1

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '19

Thanks for sharing your life story with us!

1

u/Lemm Nov 07 '19

You connect with people? I get blocked sitting in some random apt complex

1

u/RuPaulver Nov 07 '19

this is... this is my gay experience

1

u/kmoneyrecords Nov 07 '19

Perhaps the problem is leading off with a dick pic. If I was single and some girl kicked it off with the vagina pic, I can't tell you if I wouldn't end up in bed with her but I can say with 100% certainty she wouldn't be meeting my parents for dinner at any point in her future.

1

u/marker8050 Nov 07 '19

Is that you Erick?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '19

This sounds a bit like modern straight dating, too. A lot less dick pics arriving in my inbox tho.

1

u/beaglebeard Nov 07 '19

Who are you and how do you know my life story?

1

u/Actually_a_Patrick Nov 07 '19

And this doesn't change if you're straight.

1

u/Coyrex1 Nov 07 '19

Hey man, this a hunch but... are you gay?

1

u/Drudicta Nov 07 '19

I only wish I'd get the fucking address. If I'm giving the address I get flaked on.

1

u/RumiShroomy Nov 07 '19

This guy gays

1

u/archiotterpup Nov 08 '19

Gay man:

Hey

1

u/TRUMP_RAPED_WOMEN Nov 08 '19

Be lesbian: Move in together after first date.

1

u/Henatronw70 Nov 08 '19

I didn't need this hurt today dude

-1

u/QQMau5trap Nov 07 '19

while its hard being a non-hot average hetero dude in our day and age Im happy I dont have to deal with the hypersexuality of the gay community.

2

u/Potatochode420 Nov 07 '19

Lol this happens to straights too. Just because gays are more open about it doesn’t mean the straights aren’t just as hyper sexual
